Rising London duo, Mounter & Mifi, kick start their 2014 campaign with a release on Save You Records, and this, their debut EP on Losing Suki.

“Temper” is a steppers delight; more wobble than a Weight Watchers meeting, some Redneck vox samples and some precision, jacked up beats, proper tackle for the dancefloor from Mounter & Mifi.  “Fiercely Pretty” is no-nonsense, minimal gear, an incessant bass synth stab bounces over the drums whilst the track gets proper twisted, with sounds akin to nails slowly scraping over a chalk board (don’t be put off by this though).

Turn the disc over, and “Feel Ha” is in a right uptempo, jump-up stylee, the Reese-esque bass worming around the steppy beats and ‘Feel Ha’ vocal, whilst EP closer, “1000 Snares” is the EP’s deepest moment, whether or not the lads have actually used 1000 snares is yet to be confirmed, but this jam is percussive to the max, a solid groove from these talented chaps, and not the last we will hear from them either….

Truesoul Records are proud to announce the release of ‘Let Your Soul Outside’, the debut album from Reset Robot in April 2014.

Behind the Reset Robot project is Dave Robertson, a producer who has released standout singles on labels like Dogmatik, Intacto and Adam Beyer’s Truesoul imprint over the past 5 years. Now he steps up with his debut album, the stunning ‘Let Your Soul Outside’.

The LP was written at Reset Robot’s home studio in Portsmouth and is an album of fascinating textures inspired by “all the music I listen to and love!” says the producer himself. “I've wanted to do this for a long time and all of a sudden I had 8 or 9 tracks together which were a little bit different. I added a few more and asked a close friend, Tom Powell from Mister Woo, to add vocals to a couple of them and it was ready.”

The result is a full length that touches on many different moods and emotions, starting with the melodically soothing tech funk of ‘Guitar Man’. Tracks like ‘Little Alice’ then pick up the momentum thanks to slick beats and crisp percussion and ‘Sizzler’ introduces a soulful vocal element over more tortured sounding, synth-laden grooves.

It’s not all full on dancefloor material though, with tracks like ‘Desi Beats’ it allows you a little time to breath thanks to their more widescreen and laidback vibe, whilst ‘Sausage’ strikes a truly emotive pose that has your thoughts turning inwards.

With this album Reset Robot proves both his range and his dexterity – no two tracks sound the same, and instead the Portsmouth producer explores every nook and cranny with a fine attention to detail that really makes the whole thing sing. ‘Let Your Soul Outside’ is a stellar achievement.

With Adam's stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo's that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks on each, both consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode's core family. Combining both old and new talents Drumcode have come up with something unique and distinctive to make this two-part compilation something extra special.

The Caulfield Beats are,  they say , "a two-piece garage electronic band based in London" - but be very clear, there's nothing UK garage about them. They are 'garage' in the punk, home-made sense: their mixture of acidic techno, electroclash-y rigidity, subliminal sampled voices and off-beam song structures has a slightly ramshackle quality while still conspiring to kick you hard in the tender parts when you're not looking. They're a unique and puzzling proposition but we're definitely taken with this gurgling trip-out.

We jest (in part), but honestly who can blame us when the London imprint are as unerringly consistent as death and taxes – except, y'know, the flip side of the positive-negative axis. "Closing Acts" unmoors abstract effects from an anchored thud seemingly at will; you expect it'll find its way into more bags of 12.30-1.30 slot holders than closing acts, mind. As a bonus, artwork for WHYT004 comes via Matthew Kent of brilliant, inventive mix emporium Blowing Up The Workshop. All the more reason to cop the physical in mid-May.

Straight out of the West Country,  Jabru  has been spreading tendrils widely over the last couple of years. The EP’s original tracks draw on Fitzpatrick’s extensive production experience yet fit seamlessly into the Hotflush catalogue, retaining a dancefloor sensibility as they explore a range of melodic territory. The title track’s drama lies in its brazenly enchanted synth line, while B1, Vanishing, charts a deeper course, with a slow, percussive burn.
Recent Hotflush addition Auden contributes a remix that shapes the title track into an electro/IDM-indebted excursion.

Our love affair with Catalonia (all hail Hivern Discs and John Talabot) continues with Sau Poler, the nom de guerre of Barcelona resident Pau Soler. “Bercy” squeezes exotica, layered vocals and otherworldly chord shapes into the proverbial mixer resulting in a bout of hang-loose house. The main track also comes packaged with reworkings by xxxy and Project Mooncircle producer My Panda Shall Fly.

After the release of his first album 'Room With View', Joris Delacroix pursues its collaboration with Woh Lab. He participates in the artistic management of the structure today and gives a deep-house accent in the last releases. This eighteenth release is the perfect example. On 'La Mat ' Joris demonstrates one more time its talent to build subtile and sophisticated melodies, a track which tempts to dance arms in the air on a beach by looking at the sunrise of the sun on the sea. And remixes are of the same level with a version from the German duet Aka Aka to be played peak time, and a second one very deep realized by a another expert in melodies, Swiss David Keno.
