Perc and Bas Mooy both reworked the second track and definitely added a lot of raw power to this piece of vinyl. Its an authentic and varied 4 tracker which will for sure find ist way to plenty of record cases and triggers our curiosity for what Correspondign Positions will come up with in the future. Another carefully handpicked release reaffirms the steady consistency of the Esquimau imprint in nurturing jazzy, deep, and timeless old-school sounds. Chilean producer Matias V makes his debut with the 3AM, Manhattan Bridge EP, delivering two deep and jazz-tinged original cuts that stay true to Esquimau's signature aesthetic. Both '3AM, Manhattan Bridge' and 'Another Day' sit somewhere between glassy-eyed U.S. garage nostalgia and the colorful deep house of the late '90s and early 2000s, showcasing classic elements like lush chords, organ keys and piano riffs. On remix duties, respected house music figure Introbeatz lays down a solid groove foundation, emphasizing the interplay between bassline and rhythm, while the background textures and evolving atmospheres gradually build into a hypnotic vibe.

It’s one of our favorite things at LAMP when we get tracks like this sent to us. From the opening bars you get the sense that there’s a really catchy groove building up. Hip shaking drum layers and crisp shoulder shaking percussive layers will draw you to the dance floor. Disco strings slowly build into the foreground as a funky guitar strums along to the beat. A sensual, irresistible vocal beckons you to join in on the fun and things really kick off after the first build up with a bouncy bass line groove to seal the deal. 

Canadian native Famba has been on a steady grind putting out some impressive tracks; remixes and originals alike. His sounds have garnered the attention of labels like Armada Deep, UMG and Swerve Digital as well as notable tastemaker channels like Bodhi Collective. With less than a year of official work coming out of this project there’s definitely a sense that something big is brewing up in Nova Scotia and that Famba’s name will be a name you’ll hear much more often in 2017.
