Lecomte de Brégeot, nouvelle découverte de Boxon Records, surprend par son ouverture de style, son originalité et sa volontéde mélanger les genres.
A la fois electro, house, ou techno, Lecomte de Brégeot brouille les pistes pour notre plaisir auditif, sans se perdre dans le cliché.

«There Was A Day» détient une ame groovy et aerienne, un titre enivrant et percutant qui sent l’été, oùles synthés résonnent au milieu de percussions minimalistes sur des lignes de basses toutes en rondeur, parsemées de nappes spatiales, avec cette voix féminine dominante ajoutant une indéniable touche mélancolique au morceau. Il réconcilie la ballade et le club, la détente et la fougue, et son refrain aux allures de «tube» finit par persister agréablement dans nos oreilles.

Sovgner ouvre la marche des trois remixes qui composent ce maxi en nous régalant d’entrée avec son style patient et rebondissant à souhait, sur un tempo échauffé de cymbales alléchantes, sans oublier ses mystiques transitions qui révèlent une chute puissante et incisive.
Puis, avec Attari qui se charge de remodeler l’originale façon Electro-Tech avec une redoutable précision, on pénètre dans une atmosphère club aux heures tardives.

La version plus House et profonde de Korgbrain nous fait rêver tout en nous emmenant dans nos pensées les plus enfouies…

Pour clore cet opus en beauté, «Boxon Twist» est une surprise de taille, pure démonstration Techno-Electro ou encore un subtil jonglage de mélodies et d’effets qui parviennent à jouer à merveille avec nos émotions.

Coqueluche de la Techno Parade, avec déjà de belles affiches au compteur dont celle avec Etienne de Crécy en décembre dernier, Yannick Lecomte aka Lecomte de Brégeot dépasse les frontières de sa ville lyonnaise et ne compte sûrement pas s’arrêter en si bon chemin…

Lecomte de Brégeot, recently discovered by Boxon Records, is composing for our hearing delight.

« There Was A Day » has a groovy and aerial soul. The female voice adding an undeniable touch of melancholy, this is especially a thrilling and strong song which smells like summer days. With this title, Lecomte de Brégeot is reconciling the ballade and the club, the relaxation and the enthusiasm ; the chorus sounding like one of a hit pleasantly remains in our ears.

Regarding the remixes, Sovnger is pleasing us with his good production level and minimal touch, it reminds us of a Crosstown Rebels release.
Then, Attar! is restructuring the original with his own and effective Deep House vision. KorgBrain goes more Techno, making us feeling dreamy.

To marvellously end this EP, « Boxon Twist » is a good surprise, a real Techno-Electro demonstration or else a kind wink to the Boxon label.

After the success of his Dj Set at the Techno Parade in Paris, Yannick Lecomte aka Lecomte de Brégeot is not going to stop there…

For Lecomte de Brégeot everything started with the raves when he was a teenager in the late 90’s early 00’s. Techno and free parties were a revelation.

All the emotions and feelings provided by music and the fervor that he encountered during those big gatherings led him to become a DJ and to host parties. Then he went on to compose his own music with the help of his massive keyboards collection. 

In 2015 he performs at the Paris Techno Parade and in 2016 he releases his first EP There was a day followed by two other EP’s Pretty Ashes and Fragment.His music is a subtle mix of techno, new wave and EBM, that still has a strong human touch to it, thanks to the use of intense and deep vocals and overpowering melodies.
His sound aesthetic is reminiscent of the 80’s yet it feels and sounds very modern. The coldness of the electronic beats is blended with nostalgic and melancholic harmonies, giving his music great depths. 

Lecomte de Brégeot’s productions are full of warmth and humanity and he also enjoys producing for other artists. He has been collaborating for years with French soul singer Elle Valenci, with whom he obtained his first gold record. 

His singular musical identity gives him a special place in the French electronic landscape and allowed him to build an international career. 
The artist, who reinvents his tracks during live performances, has received standing ovations on tour in Russia in Eastern Europe, as well as in Turkey, South America, Asia and in the USA.

The US audience fell for him thanks to his collaboration with Canadian producer and performer Allie X and Violet Chachki, drag-queen extraordinary, winner of  Rupaul’s Drag race in 2015, on the song Mistress Violet. Real hypnotic synth-pop gem, this new track is used on many catwalk shows, including Alexandre Vauthier's for Paris Fashion Week.
In 2022 he collaborated once again with Chachki on the official and acclaimed remix of Visage’s iconic Fade to Grey.
In 2024 the artist co-composed John and Jonathan, one of the eponymous singles from Allie X's latest album Girl with no face.

Elegant and visual, Lecomte de Brégeot’s music has naturally interested the fashion and luxury world. He has been collaborating with prestigious and international brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Nina Ricci, Giorgio Armani, Nars and Vogue, who all reached out to him for music on their promotional ads. 

His single Paris 1985 was also chosen to be featured on the Balenciaga video campaign in June 2022 with the supermodel Bella Hadid.He also composes original soundtracks to accompany fashion shows, as was the case during Sao Paulo Fashion Week in 2021 and 2022, and for Roberto Cavalli during Milan Fashion Week in 2023.

The very cinematographic atmosphere of his productions also allowed him to appear on the soundtrack of two very noticed series, in France and abroad: Mytho, an original series of Arte, and the American blockbuster Emily in Paris.

The artist who grew up in the underground world, entered a partnership with Universal Music Publishing to provide him with the best possible support in the export of his music.

One thing is certain, Lecomte de Brégeot is gradually carving out a stature as one prince of French electro in the world, with new projects to follow…
