As usual it is a Various Artists released by Intergalactic Research Institute For Sound. These five tunes represent what you can hear at STAUB, music that ranges from leftfield to drum and bass, from ambient soundscapes to booming techno.

Once upon a time, a little girl felt something was missing in her life. She searched and looked everywhere in the world. As she longingly stared at the clear blue sky, she noticed puffy white trails behind airplanes. For days and nights she walked - sometimes ran - behind these sinister tracks made of vapor. Extraterrestrial entities seemed to blink in the darkest nights and approved of her mission. After a year she finally arrived at its source. When she asked around what it was, the answer was a word full of mysterious energy: STAUB.

Hailing from the southern of England, Thomaas Banks hold a deep curiosity for the art of sound desing and its intricate connection to human emotion. As a seeker of a darker sound, Banks delicately blends intricate threads of mechanized electronic symphonies with echoes of post-punk, industrial, EBM and the stark rawness that graced the early days of jungle and Drum & Bass. The fusion of genres creates a sonic canvas that marries mostalgia with futuristic notions, inviting both a sense of urgency and nostalgia.

Berlin based, but originally out of the Midwest (Cleveland and Nashville) Jaundice is a long time producer, DJ, and co-founder of the phenomenal Tram Planet Records. He has had a slew of releases on DKA, Sons of Traders, Atrophy Records and more, and has a monthly show on Mutant Radio. Tune in for this raw, experimental mix, traversing deep cut minimal synth and ebm, to high-octane acid, breaks, bit-crushed drum & bass, melancholic avant-garde and so much more.

Dj Tygre is a San Francisco dj with a passion for electro and taking listeners on aural journeys. He grew up in Philadelphia and began djing in 1994, spinning drum and bass. After a 23 year hiatus he is back in the groove creating mixes once again.

This composition is an auditory meditation on the irrevocable moment when the condemned understands: his fate was inscribed before his first breath. The symmetry of time unveils its cruel perfection — the same void awaiting him at the end has dwelled within him from the beginning. The melody is not a lament, but the cold acknowledgment that suffering is not punishment, but the final truth.
