'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

This illustration is an homage to Maria Prymachenko’s “May That Nuclear War be Cursed!”, which also inspired the title of this release. The Women Everyday project is a series of EPs, each comprising 5 tracks and a visual created exclusively by female artists. The different EPs will be defined by hypnotic and haunting electronic styles but the project will be guided by the artists' musical worlds.

The Women Everyday series is a passionate celebration of women's talent, everyday.

Part of the profits will be donated to the NGO #noustoutes which is committed to denouncing gender-based violence.

We are delighted to welcome the artists Elisa Batti ft. Jenny Thiele, Irina Kotik, Slow Dimension, Vice City and Kato de Vidts for this second volume accompanied by the visuals of Daisy de Montjoye.

In this EP composed entirely by women, each track has an evocative female name. Their work takes us on a sonic odyssey through the ages and cultures. Like an invitation to journey into the mind, we travel introspectively to mystical and distant lands.

Each track creates a musical expression that is both dark and radiant, flowing together to form a circle. This circle represents both women's power and solidarity, and this EP is a celebration of their work and creativity.

Slow Dimension has been producing for 20 years. Her productions are the exact combination of the nuances and opacity of dark techno sounds with light dubby chords echoed and filtered.

First, after a few months break due to personal reasons, we are thrilled to announce that we are back with a new podcast by Scape One. 

@kurt-baggaley (@tau-sagittarii), also known under the alias as Scape One is an electronic music producer based in England. Over the course of his career his music has ranged from driving futuristic electro of his early EPs to more deep and experimental ambient electronica of his Tau Sagittarii releases.

His output has gradually become more conceptual with works such as 2012's Natural Phases which focuses on down tempo stripped down low-fi beats with wave formed harmonics. 2015's Former Self consisting of intricate and a slowly building hypnosis of synth sequences, and 2022's Tear's in Rain, a complete dedication of synths and intricate beat patterns to all things Blade Runner.

We thank Kurt for contributing to our newly established platform, the trustful and enriching communication and wish him the best for his further journey as an artist. If everything goes as planned, you can expect more from him on studio bb soon.
