Stepping in the dojo for the fifth one is @somerandomer aka Game Sense, devoted soundbwoy since immemorial times, and one of the label’s main associates and sonic supervisors. 

His help on the first EP published by Tiar has been invaluable, contributing with additional production, mixing and the usual artist spanking for optimal results. He also resculpted ASPHALT001’s main themed track Ambient Occlusion with his well sharpened chisels, bending ambient and amen breaks into a grimey-techno or technoey-grime smart bomb ready to destroy dancefloors. And by judging some of the videos and mixes sent to us, destroyed dancefloors it did.

His skills as a sound craftsman are definitely no coincidence, his is a well honed skill as he proves once again in this eclectic mix, in which he throws against each other an uncountable quantity of tracks and different genres with great result. Dubstep, ghetto-tech, drill, grime, deconstructed club, acid, unreleased Asphalt dubs, Jamaican patois vocals à la jungle, Birmingham infused industrial soundscapes, a splurge of random bass excursions… 

This sonic adventure, just as the artist, manages to always maintain the coherence and a forward thinking approach whilst distilling the essence of the UK and the hardcore continuum into a green and amorphous liquid, bottled in an amorphous can of Monster, but served with the steady and accurate ceremony of a perfect matcha tea ritual, performed deep in the mystic graveyard of Mount Kōyasan. 

But enough talking, and let’s just all enjoy deejaying elevated to an art form, which is what you will find in this mix, the mix of Game sense, or should we say Game Sensei.
