We continue to introduce you to new names and today we have Manta - an artist from The Hague, Netherlands with a selection of exclusively his tracks that are not released yet and are waiting to be released.

Which artists has influenced you the most?

- This is really quite diverse, I listen to lot's of different artists, obscure and more known artists. Listening to a lot of the old Tumpett label tapes right now but also the whole ecosystem surrounding Drexciya (UR, Dopplereffekt, Zyklus, DJ Stingray and various Stinson/Donald releases). If I would describe the music style I make it would be an exploration in EBM and new beat sounds blended with (Detroit) electro and ambient soundscapes. One of my all time favourite releases is Autechre - Tri Repetae.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- Still working on it!

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?

- My current playlist is quite diverse - from electro, ambient to doom metal. Right now I play a recent release on Brokntoys from Non Punire called Espeletia.

What inspires you now to create music?

- Mostly the machines I work with. I create all my own sounds. If I don't feel inspired I usually create my own presets on different synths and these can bring me in a certain atmosphere / vibe and suddenly a new track is finished. 

What set-up do you use when creating music? 

- I sequence from Ableton Live and use hardware and software 50/50. The Prophet 12 is used a lot, this is a dark beast but really requires programming to get the most out of it. I have some vintage synths such as a SH2 which I use often for basslines, Juno 60, MKS-50 and Korg ex8000. I exploit the reverbs from the Ensoniq DP/4 quite a lot.
