Super Cat is one of our favourite MC's of all time, so when we were given the opportunity to rework his 1982 track ‘Dance Inna New York’ we jumped at the chance. The vocal was originally recorded at King Tubby’s studio and was licensed to us by Jah Thomas, founder of Midnight Rock records and writer/ producer for Greensleeves records. 

The track is about a love performing live music and aims to draw attention to the importance of grass roots music venues. London has lost 35% of its live music venues in the last 10 years, threatening the creative and cultural heart of the city.
