Unmixed and unmastered, this is the first track I've ever produced. 

Some insight into my process:

- I wanted to play with tension and relief. 
- I wanted a go-lucky, happy track. 
- I was inspired by the Fool tarot card.
- I opted for rough sounds to keep it from being amateurish.

This took me 4 days. I'm deciding to ship it now because I want to shooit for quantity! 

Everything in this track was already inside FL Studio 21 or I downloaded it off of freesounds.com

I'm excited to learn more and grow! I think I want to round this track out with an EP?

The Fool

But to create means the capacity and necessity for destruction...

New things into old ones, old things into new ones.

Anywayyyyy, this is my second ever song!! 

I started with the drums and then the bassline :) it was such a groove and felt so empowering. I am so lucky to have discovered these these melodies just riffing. The muse has blessed me.

Actually! when I created the initial version of the bassline it reminded me of another song which was annoying because it was catchy and I kept thinking about its hook. BUT! I didn't go nearly in the same direction as that other production. Let me see if I can find which song I was thinking about...

Also, I guess I'm going with a Tarot-themed string of songs? Haha, maybe I'll just go through the whole 22 major arcana.

I did not mix or master this track! It sounds alright for what I'm going for right now.

NAKED ECSTATIC DANCE live 03.15/2024 (house mix)

Decided to challenge myself and make a song made entirely out of samples from selected songs:

I did end up adding a sample of an apple crunch though from Splice because I couldn't help myself - it just seemed to fit!!

The Lovers

You know us. You know where we are. We are family in the garden. It lives in our bones, our muscles, our multicellular composition. We know that experience and it feels like a return home. The candy scent of irises blooming on a spring day. The gumballs littered on the earth, poking our feet as we begin to bop with the beat. The bliss of innocence, play, and senses. Old friends and new. Drama-free. Strawberries dipped in powdered sugar, just like when we were kids. Herby sweet refreshments that tickle our tongue. Easy breezy bassy sounds lift us out of cloudy days and bring purple starburst sunsets. This is it. This is what we're sprung about. The pleasure of being alive; we can access it through the senses. I hope you enjoy this journey I was able to share with so many dear friends in my garden. As you can see, we got down. <3
