Written after the death of my father.  I started to question the unknowable.  What happens at the point we pass away?  Is there an explanation to what is going to happen.

A song never heard

As it happens
we've just struck lucky-
landed on our feet.
There's a brave farm
at the end of our lane.
We think that's pretty neat.

The farm's gone back to
.....pure organics again.
It's where we can stroll
.....our inner children
to play with the wild terrain.
It has fields full of
.....knee high flowers
alive with jewelled insect life.
Green grasshoppers sawing
.....at their leggy violins.
Buzzing bees being busy
with pollen from the clover.
Tumbling bumblies in the air.
Marvels of this Earth being
..... marvellous everywhere.

We've started being Vegan-
we recycle all our waste.
Now we've got the taste
we've started living again.
In spirit with the trees, we're
.....paying close heed
.....to the breeze.
We go dancing in the rain.
We go dancing in the rain.
