NastyFunk are back again, and this time they're armed with a sunshine fuelled summertime smash in Marco Darko's "She Don't Want It" EP. Fresh from a string of fantastic releases (Hot Waves, Disco Electronica, Sleazy Deep) the Manchester based producer provides us with an unmissable release.

The original mix of She Don't Want It, perfect for both the underground as well as all those pool & beach parties in the summer months, is packed full of ultra-cool vibes and contagious grooves. With smooth, catchy vocals and feel-good thoughts, it's simply a must have. The B Side, Way I Feel, is another huge track, and a testament to the 90's old school UK sound, encompassing piano chords with acid synths, underlined by a silky & super-deep baseline.

Two remixes from two much admired Deep House figures compliment the release and add different flavours to the original of She Don't Want It. Culprit LA's Death on the Balcony provide a next-level dancefloor edit, laden with atmospherics and amazing rhythms, whilst S.K.A.M. kicks up the tempo with a fun & funky mover, that will get any crowd moving due to it's driving housey sounds and dark vibes.

Full Intention are finally back in 2013 with a stunning EP on Rebirth. Michael Gray and Jon Pearn need no introductions. Spreading their dominating sound for the last 15 years they have been a pioneering force on the global dance music scene. The pair has secured a seemingly non-stop string of successful releases and remixes, escalating the twosome of true global status. They produced numerous huge club and charts hits, nearly all of them became all-time classics. Their discography includes such great tunes, like ‘I Love America’, ‘I’ll Be Waiting (with Shena)’, ‘Spanish Hustle’, ‘Everybody Loves The Sunshine’ and Sex-o-sonique ‘I Thought It Was You’, to name but a few. Hailing from Manchester, UK, Marco Darko's inimitable style smacks of originality, often seeing oodles of old-school merged flawlessly with modern twists in his forward thinking productions. 

His last EP on NastyFunk was a huge success, with the title track getting into the top 20 on Beatport and gaining support from some very well respected artists. Berlin’s new hottest residents Eric Volta & Sebastian Voigt team up once again, this time bringing their infectiously deep and dark edge onto the Visionquest imprint. With intoxicating dreamy synths, title track ‘Words And Chance’ opens up into real groover with the seductively haunting lyrics from rising artist Forrest adding a new dimension. On the flip one quarter of the Visionquest power force Lee Curtiss takes the reins to deliver a chugging dancefloor ready remix with effective play on the vocal. Eric Volta then goes solo with ‘One Last More?’ riding out through rolling percussion with beautiful textures.

Having both spent time in London Eric Volta & Sebastian Voigt have a shared connection to the infamous Lo*kee Sunday parties, with Sebastian being a co-founder and Eric a resident from 2011. The pair also released the hugely successful ‘42 Weeks’ on My Favourite Robot.

Really making his way, Eric made his debut on Claude Von Stroke’s Dirtybird Records and has since released and remixed on labels such as My Favorite Robot, Ellum Audio, Nurvous Records and Exploited Records. DJing from the age of 15, Sebastian is now a regular at the likes of fabric, Space in Ibiza and many clubs in his hometown Berlin, such as Tresor, Katerholzig and Weekend Club.Up and coming Forrest, co-founder of Amadeus Records, is one to keep an eye on. Having recently had his first vinyl release on Play It Down, he also has an album on the way on Louie Fresco’s Mexa Records.

First class DJ, producer and live artist, Lee Curtiss has been busy playing all over the world both solo and alongside his Visionquest boys. Catch them this year on their Visionquest Thirteen tour playing 13 special dates at 13 amazing venues. It’s definitely a show not to miss!

We embarked in a long 2 days journey until we reached the Yawanawa tribe at the Mutum village in the state of Acre. 

The initial goal and objective of the trip was to record a few songs to make an electronic remix.i did not imagine though , that it would turn out to be the strongest experience of my life.

The next EP on the label comes from Visionquest co-founder, @LeeCurtiss, alongside DH Records artist and Leftroom boss, @matt-tolfrey. 

Following up Tolfrey's incredible EP he put out on Desert Hearts last year, we didn't know which direction he'd go when he turned in this EP with Lee Curtiss. Much to our satisfaction, it was even more bangin' than the first EP and totally in line with the sound of the label.

The title track "For Your Mind" does just that - it gets into your brain with groovy bass patterns and tastefully hypnotic drum patterns. "Who Said That" comes in nicely as a follow up with more banging beats and upbeat vibes that'll rinse the floor nicely.

Lee Curtiss + Matt Tolfrey - For Your Mind (Original Mix)

	Over the last two years Lee Curtiss has made a name for himself creating primal, exquisitely deep and emotional dance tracks that pulse with life, sex, and humour, incorporating countless influences and genres but beholden to none. With his broad shoulders, even wider grin and keen sense of humour, Lee may give off the straight-shooting air of a Midwestern woodsman, but he’s got the ear, plain and simple. Lee Curtiss is an eccentric, an original, an innovator, a ten-year veteran of the electronic-music scene. His love of his craft shines through in his tracks’ every bump and shudder. From last year’s Visionquest remix of Kiki’s ‘Good Voodoo’, sighted by many as the underground smash of the year, to his ‘Black Door EP’ on Spectral (Mixmag’s techno ‘Tune of the Month’, October 09), Lee has an innate ability to create instantly memorable lead riffs that will stand the test of time.



Lee grew up in Western Michigan and eventually moved to Detroit, living the guitars-to-turntables, concerts-to-underground-parties arc shared by so many other children of the electronic music revolution. The similarities end there though. Lee displayed an immediate knack and passion for dance music that translated his love of Prince, Quincy Jones, and good old underground disco into a production and DJ style noted for its sensuality and effortlessness. Recently back in Detroit after an extended stay in Berlin (where he swapped ideas and lived with his close friends and partners-in-crime Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves), Lee continues to produce vital releases and remixes on labels including Spectral Sound, Get Physical, Dumb-Unit, Wolf+Lamb, Esperanza, and Mothership, and play DJ gigs the world over.



Lee’s previous trans-Atlantic tours have seen him play at some of Europe’s most important clubbing institutions including, Fabric in London, Watergate in Berlin, City Fox in Zurich, Kiss Klub in Nurnberg and the UK’s Bloc Weekender Festival. He tore up the Toilets in East London for Kubicle, supported long standing friends Wolf+Lamb in Paris and look his, as Resident Advisor described it, ‘libidinous tech funk’ to Bristol, Leeds, Cardiff and Aberdeen.



Lee’s live debut at Fabric earlier this year was met with universal praise and Matthew Dear was so impressed with his live show at the Spectral party at the Miami WMC that, he immediately invited Lee to join him as the live face of Spectral Sound, touring alongside Matt over the coming months. In June Lee is set to follow up his Beatport chart topping ‘Love In The Key of Freak’ EP on Get Physical with ‘I Can Hear You Arthur’, his tribute to Arthur Russel on Guy Gerber’s Supplemental Facts label which is set to be one of the summer’s biggest underground anthems.
