These lyrics were predominantly written by my friend Matt Lucio. He has a dream to make an album about William Miller in the musical style of the broadway musical hit, Hamilton. 

Who is William Miller? He was a war veteran, (war of 1812), deist, turned Christian reformer. He preached that Jesus would return in 1844 on October 22. This song is about the disappointment he felt that day as the clock was nearing midnight and it was clear Jesus had not come. 
Who is Joshua Hines? (They are having a conversation in the beginning of the song,) he helped Miller's message of Jesus's soon return reach the masses.
