nope, was £4, trned up, it's a white label sampler with handwritten track names on the centre, perfect nick pressing.

Skating On Thin Ice-44k

Here is the 2nd in a series of 'mixes' I intend to make over the coming weeks of music that I find particularly tranquil. I will try to make these one hour sessions filled with beautiful music that is helpful and calming to listen to while we get through this extraordinarily hard time. The music here definitely helps me feel less anxious. I have taken a slightly different approach on this one and it does feature some beats later in the mix, so feedback welcome on whether this one has the desired effect. It is also available as a 320 download.

JD Twitch - Tranquility Mix 2

FatCat are super psyched to have the legend that is Prince Sherman deliver us a special one hour "Lockdown Dub" mix for our radio show on  the airwaves of Brighton's 1BTN radio. 

Sherman worked at both the NME and The Melody Maker throughout the nineties, and was responsible for introducing and showcasing a new and emerging electronic music scene and was a regular visitor to the FatCat record store. 
He has also tour managed for The Orb and Two Lone Swordsmen, he co-ran the Cloak & Dagger label, and is a renowned disc jockeying record-changer, he's been selcting nice slabs of vinyl since the mid-80s. Now sells records under the guise of Shake The Foundations.
This mix has been been lovingly compiled using those beautiful slabs of black vinyl from his extensive collection. 

‘Lockdown Dub’ is dedicated to all those who have lost loved ones, to all NHS staff, key workers, frontliners, family and friends.

Sherman At The Controls

Lee Grainge started his journey into music in the early 80's – 
listening to soul and funk and the emerging electro scene he became fascinated with the electronic sounds 
that were being used to produce these types of genre. Following a near tragic car accident Lee found inspiration in this and chose to become a DJ, 
at first it was for fun, DJ-ing in pubs and bars in his local area of Walthamstow he soon became to realise he had the skills to further this.

Around the acid house era Lee decided to ‘live’ his passion for music and sound and got a job as Import buyer/seller for a distribution company. 
A year or so after this with much success selling prime dance music to all the independents in the UK he left and went to work for the Fat Cat record shop.
Lee also went on to release many 12? singles under many pseudonyms for a variety of UK Techno labels. Lee also became a prominent DJ in the UK 
and on the international stage. Human records was Lee's last venture into Techno music, 
although short lived as a label of only two releases the music is highly regarded as timeless and inspirational to many who collected them.

In 1999 Lee worked at Smallfish records, where he helped shape the beginnings of the shop. After two years he left to concentrate on another obsession, sound in films. He studied Sound Design and Music Technology for two years at the London Institute, after which he went on to create collaborative installations using picture and sound to create feedbacks, with a highlight being shown at the Pompidou, Paris. Since these days Lee has been freelancing as a sound recordist & post production FX editor.
