Swishcraft Music is excited to introduce the debut release from MOPO, the newest addition to our roster.  Based out of Melbourne, Australia and founded by chart topping, Nick Jay, MOPO kicks things off by taking on the iconic D:REAM classic, “Things Can Only Get Better.” A track with a positive message as timely now as it was when it shot to #1 in 1993.

While originally a European radio and club hit, peaking at #1 in the UK & #7 in the US, as well as Top 10 throughout the rest of Europe, Australia and New Zealand, "Things” took on new life and a new meaning as it became the theme & rally cry to so many world elections from 1994 – 1998, as various countries were in turmoil and were trying to bring about understanding and change in their world and in their governments.

Twenty-Three years later this track and its sentiment could not be timelier. The Original MOPO club & radio mix, with it’s impassioned vocals, stays true to the original piano driven D:REAM classic , while Nine additional remixes & radio edits, spread out over two Remix EP’s reinterpret this track for modern dance floors, including a darker peak time house direction of the Nick Jay Club & Dub, the Pop Radio friendly Shahaf Moran Club and peak time, piano driven Supervixen Club Mix, the peak time Circuit Anthem by Brett Austin, the darker electronic  pulsating beats of the Tech House Mix by The Funky Truckerz, the down and dirty, funky Nu-Disco mix by Luscious Lowe, the Big Room Euphoria of the Tim Graham Club, the two bubbly 90’s retro, string  & piano heavy Ross Alexander Club and Rinaldo Montezz Remix. 

EP #1 & #2 will debut across all digital retailers & streaming services (iTunes, Amazon, Beatport, Traxsource) on Nov 04 2016.

Although Lee started to DJ from a early age at various parties, it has always been in his blood to mix music and entertain.

His first residency back in 1999 warmed up for the Bournemouth super club 'Slinky'.. playing tough and progressive house, getting a taste for everything 'house', he began playing for various clubs along the south coast and his hometown of Portsmouth.

He has played alongside with Anne Savage, Boy George, Judge Jules, the Freemasons and Brandon Block to name but a few and after winning the Ministry of Sound magazine DJ competition in 2000 also playing at the world famous club itself and after this Lee never looked back, quickly became a resident at Discotec, plus gigs at Fire, Hidden, Club Coliseum, and other top London clubs.

Lee is currently resident at House Nation UK, which is a monthly podcast recognised in the top 10 music podcasts on i-tunes and downloaded from all corners of the world with over 90,000 downloads an episode showcasing his uplifting house and electro sound.

As well as many other major cities across the UK, internationally Lee has already played in Egypt, Germany and Luxemburg, 2010 saw him becoming a resident at the hottest friday night at 'Onyx' @ Area in London, Lovechild @ Fire and Powerhouse in Newcastle, plus he played alongside The Freemasons at Brighton pride in front of 5,000 party people. 2011 & 2012 has seen him flying to Canada for a private party, Playing the main set for Brighton Pride alongside Danny Rampling and Seamus Haji and starting his own show on Gaydar Radio which has a audience of two million while his podcast HouseNation Uk continues to dominate the iTunes music podcasts.

It's easy to see why Lee’s mixture of chunky baselines, big beats, “thumping hands in the air” house and uplifting synth’s make up to be one of the freshest DJ's that London has to offer.
