This is the mix played at the Silent Disco Day 2 of Groove Cruise Cabo 2022. Had so much fun assembling this playlist. I wanted to pull combos from my previous mixes and also mix together a fun vibey hour that could take the listeners through a journey of various genres of house sounds. Transitions here were intentionally on the quicker side to appeal to those coming in and out of the dance floor.

I had the please to sit down for a 2nd time with Dr. Jeffrey Neal & talk about his book 'What A Long Strange It's Been.  This is a must listen episode. It is motivating, inspiring, encouraging & moving. 

Based on a life in education, What a Long Strange It's Been details the joys, struggles, and heartbreak of navigating years as a dedicated educator. It also examines the shooting death of a beloved teacher at the hands of a fourteen-year-old student, its aftermath, and the school community's recovery. As shootings, particularly, at schools show no signs of stopping, there is a lesson to be learned. Ultimately, the author hopes readers enjoy this celebration of education as well as gain some insight into the recovery from PTSD.

About the Author
Dr. Neal is a lifetime educator with five degrees, four of which are in education. He divides his time between South Florida and Western Pennsylvania enjoying family and friends. His pastimes include: traveling, cooking, reading, and swimming at Lake Worth Beach. Also, he can be found chasing a white ball around a golf course in a quest to find his swing. Currently, he is working on a fictional novel set in South America.

Flint Hills Paranormal was founded in October of 2016, by co-founders Dr. Linda Clarke and Brandy Nance. Linda had been involved with paranormal investigations for around 30 years and Brandy with investigating the paranormal for several years as well. They were previous  members of a paranormal team in Topeka, KS for several years when they decided to start their own group in their home area of the Flint Hills region around Emporia, KS. 
    FHP is a very close and diverse Team consisting of 9 members,each bringing a unique variety of talents to the paranormal field.The majority of the Team are sensitives and empaths, but they also have 3 individuals who are physical mediums, including one member who utilizes her Native American background to assist in understanding certain environments and situations. 
     Brandy says that, “Our greatest moments come when we can help others understand or communicate with what has frightened them. It is so often family members who have passed trying to get their attention.” Linda explains that, “Respectful communication with the spirit is essential to understanding why they are there and what they want or need, in order to stop or lessen the activity. “
    The Team also is very involved with the Flint Hills area communities through giving Paranormal 101 classes, informative talks, developing fund raisers, doing public investigations and being in parades. 
    Although the Team likes to have fun, they are also very serious about the research and assistance they do for others. They have developed a structured scientific approach to the paranormal.
   The Team is also conducting research on one specific model of a Shirley Temple Doll.  They have found that numerous individual dolls of this particular model are either haunted or have histories of causing issues around them.  “The first Shirley doll I brought home caught my stove on fire within a short time after bringing it into the house,” said Linda.  “She isn’t in the house anymore!”  The research on these dolls should be available on their website very soon. 
   Dr. Clarke has a MS in Biology and has been fascinated by cryptozoology since she read the 1958 book “On the Track of Unknown Animals” by Heuvelmans, while in high school.  She and a couple other intrepid Team members investigate possible Cryptid sightings. One section of the Flint Hills Paranormal website is “Kansas Cryptids and Other Strange Critters” which covers reports of Cryptids in Kansas and is being turned into a book.  There is also a Facebook page of the same title.
