Things That Matter

This was a track we wrote after the Bhopal, India Union Carbide Explosion - we felt it- we were saddened. We finally settled on an instrumental- words failed us to express what we felt.  With Shaun Turner on Sax. 
At the time, we were listening to alot of ambient jazz from the ECM label- Jan Gabareck, Pat Metheny, Steve Tibbets; but also anything Windham Hill- especially Shadowfax; one hears the influence on this track.

Critical Town _Bhopal_1986

I recorded this track at Prairie Sun Recording Studio one cold and wintry night in Cotati, California. Isha Erskine engineering- me and the boys gathered round the fire and recorded this in one take - the addendum to "Gotta b Happy" . This is a track called:  "See Life as  a Feather" - a reflection on humility. 
Featuring the stellar John Waller- Hand Drums and Kit;  the fantastic Joe Livoti- Guitars; and the some of the best Sax playing I've played with in my lifetime:  Kevin Galloway - Saxes.  leehoward on bass ands vx. Produced by leehoward. used by permission- ®2017 Cyberia Records. Enjoy.
