Since his debut on Sound of Habib in 2012 Blanilla has gone from strength to strength, building his reputation internationally, remixing Ils for Distinct'ive and DJing with Stanton Warriors among other things. From his studio in Cluj, Romania, his new single Apply the bass is a bumpy number with San Fransisco's own Kidd Linus sharing the mic with Sara Taigher from Rome. The package is completed by a remix courtesey of Germany's D-fact. Truly an international affair!

We’re back with the boys from Latvia for our 73rd iBreaks release.  Under This give us a double A-side showing two different sides of their production stylings.

“Let Yourself Go” leads the way, and there’s no messing about - it’s straight in with a big rolling breakbeat, a throbbing low end bassline, and a pulsing, growling, metallic synth that really sets the tone of what to expect.  A switch up in the bassline after the halfway point raises the energy and makes this one pure peak time.

In stark contrast, the Under This boys flex their deeper, groovier muscles on “Attraction” which is built around a Nile Rodgers flavoured guitar riff over speaker busting beats and bass.  The addition of a female vocal lifts the vibe, rounding off this disco breaks tune to a tee.

Starting in 1990 I had a ten year journey, with The Prodigy we went from raves to rock stadiums, touring with some of the best artists of a generation.Picking up new influences and inspiration throughout the experience.In 2000 i left the band to concentrate on Djing and my own productions, releasing an album under the name Flightcrank, before moving on to vocal duty on two albums for UK artist Hyper.
A move to Germany brought about a Smash Hifi Album in 2014.In 2018 I began to release music on Get Hype Records, it was back to the underground with no limitations just my music that makes people rock. 2020 I started releasing on music.leeroythornhill.com in order to put more music out. 
Thirty years and seventy five countries later music is still my drug, various different projects, many learning curves, and plenty of musical experimentation, having brought me to where i am today. Using the things that inspired me to create my own sound in the studio and to bring energy to the dance floor when DJing.
