Here's a 5+ hour set from a beautiful night in Vancouver with the Soul Hop crew.  The soundsystem at Vantek was singing, the crowd were getting down and it was one of those nights where 5 hours felt like 1 hour.  Big love to James and Soren and looking forward to doing it all again with Ladymonix on 31st May at Industrial 236.

For this mix we wanted to do something different. We have been seeing quite a few posts mentioning these tracks and artists, so decided to host our own tribute to the amazing SIESTA Music. In the early 2000's I was almost fanatical about the 'west coast sound'. H-Foundation were residents at London's Fabric and it felt like a great time for House Music here in the UK.
Now 25 years on, I wanted to re-visit my love for this label. I pulled all of the releases from my record collection and put a select few at random together into this hour long mix.

The mix features tracks from artists including; DJ Buck, Inland Knights, H-Foundation, Joeski, Onionz and many more.

Jonna has been playing music with soul for the past 20 years, from the City Fly basement parties @ Sophbeck (RIP) in his hometown of Leicester, to the festival circuit in Croatia to the dark underground clubs of Berlin and as far as Tokyo. He has also supported the likes of Roy Ayres (RIP), Children of Zeus, Benji B, Underground Resistance & MCDE to name a few! 

Jonna has released notable music on Lumberjacks in Hell, BBE, Shadeleaf Music, Flat White Records and his own imprint City Fly Records which has gained support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Mr Scruff, Jimpster and Derrick Carter. His last release 'Jus Move' featuring Javonntte with Marcellus Pittman & SoulPhiction (RIP) Remixes was featured in Juno Records Top 10 'Best Deep House Records’ of the year and was ‘Release Of The Day’ on Resident Advisor.

Recently, Jonna has been concentrating on his music promo service ‘Unveil PR’ and starting a family but is still an avid record collector and selector spanning many genres of the musical spectrum.

Lee Clarke is a house freak from Milton Keynes. Lee got bit by the dj bug at the tender age of 15 and hasn't looked back.

Lee has been known to have a unique style which ranges from deep house to techno, this comes from his many influences over the years such as Mark Farina, Asad Rizvi (now Silverlining), Derrick Carter, Eddie Richards, Stacey Pullen, Terry Francis, Jimpster, Phil Weeks and DJ Heather. In 2008 Lee became a regular on Chicago House FM with his show Tahanan. The show lead to many gigs and making new friends which motivated Lee to start a promotion of the same name, which he used to reflect his personality and beliefs, Good People, Great Music. The party started in his home town Milton Keynes and has had Eddie Richards and Terry Francis play on a regular basis as well as guests such as Jordan Peak, Pete Dafeet, Roberto, Sek, Michael McLardy and Dudley Strangeways. 
After setting up Tahanan, Lee has had a hand in production. After spending years looking at the studio and not having a clue what to do with it, Dudley Strangeways reached out to Lee and taught him how it was done. This lead to the two forming a great friendship and making tracks together, with an ep on the Chicago based label Large Music.
