Reworking a classic from cause4Concern’s landmark debut album Pandemic, the track carries the unmistakable DNA of its source while carving out a fresh identity. The remix leans into the rugged textures and brooding atmosphere that made the original so enduring. Classic techstep tones ripple through the mix: dark, rolling basslines, tightly coiled drums, and that signature tension that defined the early 2000s underground. Yet Rift brings a surgeon’s precision to the production, sharpening every transient and widening the sonic field with modern engineering. The result is a track that feels both familiar and revitalized, like rediscovering a long-lost dubplate pressed with today’s clarity and weight.

VTO proudly unveils CODE:HER, a project long in the making and landing on the weekend of International Women’s Day.

This EP shines a spotlight on powerhouse women producers of Neurofunk and Drum and bass music as a whole and showcasing the varied and cultivating sounds that women bring to the culture and the dancefloor.

CODE:HER is more than a collection of tracks; it’s a statement, a message of empowerment and a celebration of women dominating within the Neurofunk realm.

We are VTO Records thought it would be only fitting to step aside for this release and leave the whole curating and planning to the women themselves with MEL leading the way as a guest curator and decision maker for this whole project.

Neurofunk drum and bass is evolving at a rapid pace and women are at the forefront of this music, championing hard and laying roots into the sound itself.

This release brings together fierce creativity, technical mastery, and uncompromising vision, proving that these artists aren’t just participating in the scene… they’re redefining it.

i/ MEL - “Enigma”

The curator and driving force behind this EP, MEL steps back into VTO with `Enigma` - her fiercest work to date. A razor-wired neuro weapon built from snarling reeses and pressure-cooker
tension.

After teasing the scene with the sampler last week, MEL certainly sets the tone for the project.

ii/ Siren - “Self Destruct”

After a standout 2025 with heavyweight signings on Blackout and Eatbrain, Siren storms into 2026 with her debut on VTO. Self Destruct is pure, unfiltered aggression: high-impact and built for
maximum damage on the dancefloor.

Making her VTO debut, Sounds of Ukraine’s leading lady, TheLena, arrives with `Drifting` - an adrenaline-soaked fusion of rave stabs, amens and unrestrained Neuro nastiness.

What begins with electrifying tension quickly twists into a full, face-melting barrage. A curveball track that demands attention from start to finish.

Australia’s reigning Neurofunk queen and one of our 5 in-house artists, returns to her VTO stomping ground with `Knock Out`.

True to its name, this track swings hard - a high-energy onslaught packed with signature Jane Doe grit, attitude and explosive Neuro power. She’s back, and sharper than ever.

Mayel - Carnage

I know it didn’t work out in the end, and honestly, it hurts a bit. Still, I feel like this is one of the best things I’ve ever created.

Working on a remix for this legendary track by Rido & Counterstrike was a massive challenge and my absolute main focus. I poured everything I had into this tune. My goal was to approach the original with maximum respect—keeping the vibe while adding a piece of myself.

I fully respect the decision not to release it officially, but it would be a shame to keep this one hidden.
