@dirtyelementsmusic and @drunk-drivers have built up a strong relationship with @samosarecords featuring on their Italian Disco Machine and remixing for sister label Daje Funk. Now the label have brought them back for a full artist EP and it's a bit of a scorcher. Featuring four tracks of funk and jazz fuelled groove heavy disco this is a real statement of intent for this coalition of Italian producers.

Inversions returns with an assemblage of miscellanea from the magnetic tape archives of Dunkelziffer and Phantom Band guitarist Dominik Von Senger. Capturing impromptu moments of between the scenes coaction amongst the likes of Reebop Kwaku Baah, Jaki Liebezeit and Dominik himself, to create an animated picture of his communal musical activities at Brüsseler Platz, during a fertile period for underground music and art in Cologne, and exhibit a mosaic of moods, from mirthful to meditative.

LER 1022/MS03 - LITIA=LOE’s Each Dawn Every Dawn

A nearly-lost existential house anthem from Chicago’s second generation, heavily under the influence of Ron Hardy, European EBM, and the struggle of daily life in the city’s marginalised neighbourhoods.
LITIA=LOE (Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth) formed in Chicago amidst the burgeoning house movement of the 80’s. 

Leon Williams, Daryl Wilson, and brothers Grant and Simeon Rogers would meet up every weekend to soak up the sounds at local clubs like Music Box, Medusa, The Power Plant, The Warehouse, and Frankie Knuckles’ Dance Palace, where DJs would mix everything from disco to new wave, industrial to house music. After the clubs closed, they would retreat to Leon’s basement to experiment with synths, inspired by what they had just witnessed at the clubs.

At the time, the record barely made it out of Chicago, but the group did have a chance at notoriety. Rocky Jones of D.J. International Records offered up a “Blood contract” for joining the label. The group declined and the group remained a mystery.

More than 30 years later Each Dawn Every Dawn will finally be available again (no blood contracts needed). Due out though Left Ear records and Mixed Signals,  on the 27th of March 2020. Distro through Rushhour, Seance Centre or Direct in the Antipodes

In our continued quest to bring you the best in fantastical soundtracks for your fractured minds Giallo Disco is proud to present the debut mini album by Gnomus the Norwegian duo of Kristian Kringstad and Are Johansen Ormberg. Begun as a side project to their collaboration as Yogishine, Penombra Oscura describes a paranormal medical thriller, played out in reverse like a giallo Memento or Irreversible. Musically it takes a deep dive into the more radical-freakout-jazz-rock side of classic gialli, though it’s not shy of moody pads, hot monosynth leads and space choirs either! For fans of Goblin, Le Orme, Area and Frizzi. Penombre Oscura is an incredible debut. Cover art by Aaron Jakubenko. Strap on your leather gloves and lets go!

I have started to check Majus’s soundcloud (@majuskalendorius) after I saw he liked the super cool 716 playlist by Cozsmic Töfü. His soundcloud feed was brilliant, full of interesting tracks I had never heard of and pertinent podcasts. I congratulated him and proposed him to do a 716 mix. He gave me this set recorded live at the Opium club in Vilnius. Here you go, great selection and very good technique.
