Animix Forty One presented by Austin, Texas based DJ/ Producer Gi Gi ( @keptmale ) with a beautiful trip. The artist focuses on deep and contemplative listening in this xtra long mix.  

In their own words, Gi Gi writes, "the idea for these mixes is to be a collection of longer-form tracks (7+ min) that demand (imo) to be heard front to back, producing a patient wander of a listen, and to serve as a greatest hits of sorts of songs that are especially personal/special to me-- as opposed to just an attempt to show off the deepest digs i've stumbled on (a thought pattern i think i and many other selectors can get caught up in at times..)."

Love the idea behind this mix, and it's the perfect extended listen for a sunny or rainy day wherever you are.

On this month’s show, Organic Analogue Records are excited to welcome Papadopoulopoulos, a deep cover DJ duo residing in Bristol, UK.
The name choice “Papadopoulopoulos” is a funny take on Greece’s most popular surname “Papadopulos” and since the late 60s has also gained a certain political weight. 
As a DJ duo, they are very much into creating complex auditory and emotional soundscapes, drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of different genres and taste, something they both have very much in common. One chair, one dream.

Sonic storytelling from Glasgow's ambient power duo Somewhere Press. The mix is, according to Caapi and Lizzie Urquhart, a musing on the Divine Feminine, which got me thinking about something James Hillman, archon of all things archetypal, said about the study of Beauty. Apparently (so says James) the ancient root of the word "Aesthetics" comes close to meaning "I breathe in" and the mixes, releases and vibe of Somewhere Press has certainly breathed something beautiful into Glasgow's musical landscape. Valentina Magaletti: Wire Brushes and Wooden Reeds

In the centuries after her death, Sappho (630 – c. 570 BC) was regarded as the greatest of lyric poets, the ‘tenth muse’. All that remains of her work are fragments of Papyrus, found at Oxyrhynchus in Egypt. While these contain one complete poem, they are mostly incomplete lines and single words. Here, poet Anne Carson’s translation of Sappho is sifted, recombined and fragmented further.
