"How Does a Moment Last Forever" is a song written by lyricist Tim Rice and composer Alan Menken for the 2017 Disney live-action film Beauty and the Beast, a remake of the animated musical of the same name. This Broadway-inspired ballad is performed in the movie by American actor Kevin Kline in his role as Maurice. It describes the relationship between his character and that of his wife, Belle's deceased mother. Later in the film, Belle (Emma Watson) performs the song as she discovers the truth about her mother's fate.

"Rainbow Connection" is a song from the 1979 film The Muppet Movie, with music and lyrics written by Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher. The song was performed by Jim Henson – as Kermit the Frog – in the film. "Rainbow Connection" reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1979, with the song remaining in the Top 40 for seven weeks in total. Williams and Ascher received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song at the 52nd Academy Awards.

What I like to call the ice cream truck song as that is how I mostly associate this as a kid, "Music Box Dancer" is an instrumental piece by Canadian musician Frank Mills that was an international hit in the late 1970s. It features an arpeggiated theme designed to resemble a music box, accompanied by other instruments playing a counterpoint melody as well as a wordless chorus. 

Mills wrote and recorded "Music Box Dancer" in 1974, but it did not become a single until December 1978. By Christmas of that year, it was in the top ten of many European and Asian pop music charts. Released as a single in the United States in January 1979, it reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on the week ending May 5.

"Mister Sandman" is a popular song written by Pat Ballard and published in 1954. It was first recorded in May of that year by Vaughn Monroe & his orchestra and later that year by The Chordettes and the Four Aces. The song's lyrics convey a request to "Mr. Sandman" to "bring me a dream" – the traditional association of the folkloric figure, but in this context the meaning of dream is more akin to 'dreamboat'.

Doris Day introduced it in the Alfred Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956). The three verses of the song progress through the life of the narrator—from childhood, through young adulthood and falling in love, to parenthood—and each asks "What will I be?" or "What lies ahead?" The chorus repeats the answer: "What will be, will be."

Live from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park at the Kijami Overlook. We performed for about 30 minutes while guests arrived, and one of the pieces we chose was "Storybook Love" from The Princess Bride soundtrack.

"Storybook Love" was written and performed by Willie DeVille and arranged by Mark Knopfler, and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song in 1988 when it was released.

Our arrangement comes from our very own RB Anthony (also performing here on horn), and we are joined by Emilia Lopez-Yanez on oboe for the day, along with our regulars April Leslie on clarinet, Erica Gamble on flute, and Dan Weiss on bassoon.
