B Human kicks things off with the first of two collaborations, and it's all kinds of rolling, hypnotic, spaced-out, Balearic business. Floating minor keys, walking bass and a gorgeous chugging guitar make it sun-blessed.

Language Of The Heart is the solo offering by Third Attempt, and is a tripped out smoker's delight. Soul II Soul, Crazy P and Nightmares on Wax can all be felt, perfect for those early evening or 'back-to-mine' sessions.

Finally, Feeling Seen sees the chaps working their collaborative magic again on a hazy, jazzy, broken beat, doozy of a track that is deep, stripped back and funky as all hell.

This is one of the most emotional sets I've ever played. I was scheduled to play at 4am, 2nd to last DJ of the night, while the darkness lifted from the trees and the dawn illuminated faces on the dance floor, my "job" was not to ruin this magical moment, but build something else on top of it. Deep, atmospheric, melancholic, and just generally magical – is how I would describe this set.

This was played on Traktor S4 using all 4 decks: A/B for tracks, C for live input from Native Instruments Massive synth, and D being a sample deck with my own house loops loaded. It is not uncommon to hear 3 and sometimes all 4 decks at once.

LeftCtrl —(also known as PolyGroovers, or DJ Zeel, real name: Konstantin Gredeskoul) started DJ-ing in the Bay Area in 1998, having been inspired and encouraged by @djethan Ethan Miller (FnF, BrassTax) among others. 

Konstantin produces downtempo music as PolyGroovers, (see https://soundcloud.com/polygroovers for more information).

Starting with the underground rave parties where he threw down Detroit Techno on vinyl, LeftCtrl played all over the Bay Area, with additional appearances in the UK, Spain, and Australia. 

He collaborated with @kem, Captain Tinrib, @henry-navarro and many more.

LeftCtrl's DJ sets feature a storyline, harmonic depth, and a smooth and deep, melodic, nearly always syncopated and groovy sound. Konstantin is an obsessively technical mixer, who admits to the most anal-retentive pitch-matching of the mixes, resulting in some of his entire sets played in the same key.

Since about. 2020, LeftCtrl refocused on the composition and production of tracks for the dance floor: house, progressive, and many genre bending tracks. Currently collecting sufficient portfolio for the upcoming releases in yet to be determined label.
