Many of these records represent a political reaction to those injustices and hardships experienced by black communities in Jamaica, and the USA in the 1970s & 1980’s. There has been change but not enough. As recent events prove  And the battle has to go on. 
Music still has an important role to play. I believe passionately in young people and although my generation has largely failed in its attempt to right the wrongs, the next generation carry the hope for all of us. Enjoy.
