Dedicated to a woman I'm not allowed to name.

This EP represents a closure of probably the most significant period in my adult life so far. I'm moving on after falling in love for the first time in 15 years. It was quite the story, but it has run its course. The scariest thing though is not how much I sacrificed for and changed through all of this — its the fact that I probably would do it all over again in a heartbeat. That is the terrifying power of love.

Fool's gold is a slang name for pyrite — iron sulfide which is often used in jewelry. The pendant I am wearing on my neck now is encrusted with pyrite and was made by her for me as a memento a couple of days before we went our separate ways.
