Had some trouble coming up with a name for this one. It covers a lot of ground between ambient, organic house, prog house, techno and electronica. I also performed this mix a little differently than normal. 

Typically my mixes are 100% off the cuff. I go in with an idea of the general direction, possibly an opening track in mind, and freestyle through the end. This mix started like any other, except I never hit record. After the mix was finished I was thrilled with the results, but had no recording to share. What you're hearing is a reconstruction of that mix from the track history on my players, completely re-recorded so I can share it with you. I hope you enjoy!

Bugiemood Episode 18- Halloween Special

Episode 20... wow. Not much to say. Thank you to anyone who's listened and taken an interest. Thank you to the friends that allow me to play these mixes for them at our hangouts and help me decide if they're worth uploading.

For Episode 20 I thought I'd have some fun and play some naughty, ravey trance while trying to avoid the cheesiness that people often attribute to the genre. What came out was 2 hours of electro, progressive proper chuggas. Thanks for listening  <3

Such a blast playing at Hallowed Halls among some amazing artists and to a room full of friends and music lovers! Unfortunately I was unable to make a recording at the time so I pulled my tracklist off my players and took an hour to rebuild my set. While the transitions may not be the exact same, I hope this mix allows anyone who couldnt make it the ability to get a feel for the amazing vibe in the room that guided my track selections. Bugieman Live at Mixology @ Hallowed Halls 12.06.2024 (Recreation)

The Oregon Coast is quite a different experience from the California beaches I grew up with. Where California beaches offer steady weather, palm trees and beach towns, the Oregon Coast offers an experience more exposed to the elements and more immersed in nature. 

There is a remote beauty to the Oregon Coast. One that reveals itself through the weathered rocks, dense forests, and vulnerability to the weather. 

For this mix I chose to focus on that connection to the forces of nature. The track selection flutters between sunny, beachy and melodic themes with spikes of grittier, colder techno to highlight the natural beauty and contrast it against unpredictable, unsheltered nature of the Oregon Coast. 

I want to make a small caveat that this was not the mix recorded in the picture. This one was cooked up in the studio. Be on the lookout for a mini mix coming soon live from Sunset Beach!

Left Off Burnside - Sunset Beach

Welcome to the first mix under my new Left Off Burnside project. 

The idea behind this project is that every mix will be recorded completely off the cuff as I reflect upon and show my appreciation for places within the PNW. 

This first mix is a celebration of Rocky Butte. An incredible little park in NE Portland with sweeping views of the Columbia River, Mount St. Helens, Mount Hood and Downtown Portland. 

I use Rocky Butte as a quiet place to do some reading after work. I hope this mix give you something mellow to relax, read, be productive, or enjoy a lovely mug of tea.

Left Off Burnside - Rockey Butte

First live mix from my new Left Off Burnside project. As with every mix it's tied to my own experiences and musical relationships with the place and time that I recorded this. There was a lovely lighthearted and groovy energy on that plush patio where this set was recorded and I did my best to capture that essence with this mix.
