Illyus and Barrientos strip the track back to its foundations; keeping the essential elements in the pulsating kick drum and deep drum grooves; as well as the strong vocal performance from Damon C Scott.
The duo remolds the bassline and transforms it into a refreshingly funky sub-line that sits underneath the track and bounces between the bouncing rhythms in the choppy piano stabs.

The pair create a versatile track that is easily envisioned to be blasting out on a sunset-soaked boat party on the coast of Ibiza or equally; hoofing out of a sound system in the basement of a packed-out Glaswegian club at 5 am.

This unreputable energy is kept beating strong throughout the enormous ‘Zipped Up (Going Back To My Roots)’ with a hi-octane production masterclass from Slipmatt, Sol Brothers, Jodi, with the powerful vocal leads from Errol Reid completing this superb homage.
