Hot on the heels of his smash hit ‘Get Beasty’ EP released in February this year, Hot Creations favourite Patrick Topping is back with another superb release in the running to be his most successful yet! The ‘Boxed Off’ EP features three dance floor bombs, just as we’ve come to expect from talented youngster, all with that signature Patrick Topping sound yet each completely unique. ‘Forget’ is potentially his biggest track yet, a staple of Jamie’s current sets it’s truly infectious and set to be feature heavily at WMC this year. ‘Boxed Off’ is menacing, rumbling & dark heads-down affair whilst ‘Schwicked’ is another hooky as hell bomb from Patrick. Patrick Topping impressed us all with his debut EP ‘Walk On’, with his tracks being championed by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and the Hot Creations crew. His next EP ‘Any Amounts’ was one of the biggest releases of the year for Hot Creations. More recently his ‘Get Beasty’ EP was released, receiving masses of support including regular plays on Radio 1 from the likes of Annie Mac and Pete Tong who crowned him as a ‘Future Star’ on his show.

Alongside releases on his home label Hot Creations he has a track coming out on the Defected Miami CD and remixes on the way for Circus Recordings and Resonance Records.

One year on since the first installment, the mighty Hot Creations turn up the heat as they get set to unleash ‘Hot Summer Jams 2’, featuring eight exclusive tracks from familiar faces and blossoming new talents.

The first half of the v/a welcomes back some favourite artists with the first track coming from label head and main man himself Jamie Jones, hot off the heels of some far reaching releases as Hot Natured and solo anthems. He delivers the storming future anthem, ‘Danger Mouse’. Next up Suara boss Coyu delivers ‘The Cat’ featuring the stunning vocals of Cari Golden. On an old school tip, New Yorker MANIK hits us with ‘Freak Your House feat. MC Kew G’ followed by a dance ready track from Alexis Raphael, who had his first track signed to Hot Waves back in 2011.

Dynamic duo Leftwing & Kody make their first appearance on the label as they team up with Cera Alba to deliver the heavy duty ‘I Got One Way’. Newcomers David Glass & CDC, Sean Branton and Neil Parkes also make their debuts on the label with serious impact. Bubbling with groove and energy, each of the tracks hold superior dance floor magic, road tested worldwide by the Hot Creations crew this summer, they are essential ammunition.

Co-founded by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Hot Creations has been going from strength to strength since it’s creation in 2010, releasing a comprehensive catalogue of music from well known artists and breaking new talents who have gone on to be some of the biggest names in the industry today.

Hot Creations are launching a new ‘Paradise on Earth’ DJ Mix series with the first instalment coming as a Mexico special from Paradise residents and label regulars Nathan Barato and Patrick Topping. Each mix is expertly crafted, fusing musical influences with exclusive new material alongside current favourites for your listening pleasure.

The first CD comes from Toronto-based DJ & producer Nathan Barato, an artist that has been on the rapid rise with releases on Cajual, MOOD, Relief, Saved, Circus Records, Defected and of course Hot Creations. Barato’s mix kickstarts with the sonorous opening of Derrick Carter’s ‘Where You at?’ soon venturing into big dancefloor movers like Moritz Piske ‘Dirt Cabana’ and Makam’s ‘Loletta’. Nathan explains, "This is the first compilation I've done, so I was nervous and excited when building the tracklist. I wasn't inclined to make a mix that was only bombs ...I wanted to express myself and show a different side of my sound.”

UK talent Patrick Topping has cemented his status as one of the most in demand names in dance music and this year completing his third summer as resident at DC10 in Ibiza for Paradise. Here Patrick showcases the sound and style of his sets with hi-energy from the word go. “This was my first time putting together a licensed mix and it was such a fun project. Most the tracks are older but I was also luckily enough to include some of my favourite unreleased tracks of the moment. Thanks to Oli Furness, Jack N Jerk, Sean Miller & Elliot Adamson for letting me use these. There are also 3 brand new productions of mine in here.” - Patrick Topping

Since label head and visionary Jamie Jones began his Paradise night at DC10 in Ibiza five years ago, the night has gone on to be by far one of the biggest on the island, inviting the biggest names in the business to come play alongside his solid crew of talented friends and residents. Get Physical is thrilled to share another take on an old Roland Clark classic. From Roland himself:  'The song WTF derived from a piece I wrote entitled I Get Deep back in 1999. The entire piece is an observation of how the house music club scene had changed from my earlier years of being organic and pure to something disingenuous. The people were still packing the clubs but the dance moves went from a flowing big hommage to the track that was playing to a movement of the body just for the sake of the movement. The tune is primarily from a dancer’s perspective and frustrations. Hence the line, “THEY KNOW WHAT IS WHAT, BUT THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT IS WHAT, THEY JUST STRUT, WHAT DA FUCK’. For this release Santé has delivered his own take on the track. In his remix, he reduces the track to the basics, and adds a bit of electronic honey on top. Lush synths and driving percussion support the iconic vocal in a fresh way.

Roland Clark - What The F**ck (Santé Remix)(Snippet)

Miguel Bastida has been one of the upcoming and hottest Spanish artists in the last 2 years. His powerful, groovy basslines and the taste for the melodic stuff is what we really love about him. He delivers two huge original tracks for his new Suara EP that shows his different profiles as an artist. 'Roundnex' is pure groove, dark and fuelled with 90's breaks influence. 'Ecos' is about a melody which leads the track from the beginning til the end. For the remixes we ask to Tim Engelhardt, whom takes that 'Ecos' melody and make an anthemic tune and Hatzler take the vocal samples of 'Roundnex' and brings the track to the techno side.

Her next venture on Emerald City delivers ​a deep, sultry groover. Grabbing you from the off, ​Back & Forth moves into the next level with ​ distinct vocals from Shatz. Joeski’s roots are in the underground house scene of NYC in the 90s, where he played regularly at historical clubs such as The Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium and Roxy. Later establishing himself as a producer he began releasing music on Siesta, Ministry Of Sound, Tango, Junior Boys Own and many more. For his remix he keeps things firmly focused on the dancefloor, with a dramatic build and unmistakable disco​ flare. 

LA based artist ​Lauren Lane has played some of the world's best clubs and festivals such as DC10, Warung, Coachella and BPM Festival to mention a few. She released her debut EP ​Cool Kids on Saved Records with releases soon following on No.19, Edible and Warung Recordings. Working a new bassline, Lauren’s​ ​remix​ ​is​ ​deep​ ​and​ ​smooth​ ​roller​ ​for​ ​the​ ​early​ ​hours.
