Leftwing & Kody are on Suara with their very first EP on the kitty label. This english duo did great with the remix for Sonny Fodera Can't Deny and are back with a mind-bending four track release. Hot Since 82 kicks off 2015 with an eerie new original featuring the vocals of Alex Mills and accompanied by a killer remix from current star of the underground Detlef. The Core features in part 2 of strangely chilling 'Sleepwalker' short film the Yorkshireman released via his Facebook last week. VIVa resident and Ibiza favourite Detlef, turns in an absolute gem of a rework, and most notably one of this year's BPM most played.

The Core is taken from "Knee Deep In Sound", his debut mix album which is a joint release on his own label of the same name, and Ultra. The album includes 4 Hot Since 82 exclusives, new material from a number of acts he's A+R'd, and several new gems he signed especially for the release.

Few DJs have blazed such a singular path to stardom as Hot Since 82. He's graced the cover of Mixmag, performed live with a string quartet, nailed two Essential Mixes, served up several Beatport No.1s, and even kidnapped fans for his amazing TAKEN project which SOLD OUT in 30mins flat. The next TAKEN will be at Snowbombing, with more coming to a city near you!

Fresh from his Boiler Room debut in Madrid last month, the Swiss DJ and producer Andrea Oliva makes his debut on Hot Creations with We Trust. Having built a solid reputation through relentless touring and a string of impressive releases, Oliva delivers two original cuts showcasing his skillful production.

The driving and incredibly infectious title track We Trust uses all of the techniques required for a club classic; a looping vocal layered over charged drums, culminating in a fearless breakdown. On the reverse, Soho Nights delivers a hook so catchy it’s a certified Ibiza classic in the making.

Oliva’s journey began at a young age, educating himself in record shops and eventually teaming up with Nordstern founder, Agi Isaku, hosting the successful Banditz parties throughout Switzerland.

An ultimate summer jam with elevating synth lines, Sound of Music is a cover version, originally released by Nookie and features chart topping artist Katy B on vocals. Kooky Chords is a dance floor bomb, with melodic breakdowns sure to set any dancefloor on fire. Next, Positive Pressure features label favourite Kevin Knapp, deep and gritty, the bassline swings with spacey layers. Last up, Parallel Universe is a deeply infectious chugger with vocal cuts.

Since forming in 2012, Leftwing & Kody have gone on to become two of the UK’s finest exports. Both Mixmag and DJ Mag named them as ones to watch a mere year after they paired up, with DJ Mag even nominating them for ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ in their Best of British Awards. Since then the duo have gone on to present a monthly Rinse FM show, earn residencies at Fabric (London) and Sankeys (Ibiza), as well as releases on Hot Creations, VIVa, Truesoul, Mobilee and Knee Deep In Sound, as well as their own renowned imprint Lost Records.

It’s fair to say Leftwing & Kody, real names Jon Kong and Chris Adie, have made it look easy, but it’s their determination and diligence that’s helped them prosper so rapidly in such a short time. Before long support from the upper echelons of house and techno quickly burgeoned, with Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, James Zabiela, Maya Jane Coles, Loco Dice, Steve Lawler, Adam Beyer, Nic Fanciulli and Huxley continually advocating their productions throughout the years. Before long the pair had launched Lost Records, before kick-starting it with a lauded release from Darius Syrossian. Now, with regular label showcases and a Beatport topping discography spanning forty releases, Lost Records can boast a roster including wAFF, Josh Butler, Detlef Yousef and Mihalis Safras. With everything mentioned it’s no surprise, then, that Leftwing & Kody continue to charm BBC tastemakers such as Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Monki, MistaJam and Nemone. Meanwhile, press support has been equally tenacious, with the likes of Mixmag, DJ Mag, Thump and Dancing Astronaut regularly endorsing the likely duo.

Reflecting on a 2016 that’s seen Leftwing & Kody and Lost Records attain new heights, including releases on Viva, Truesoul, Mobilee and Knee Deep In Sound a renowned summer residency at Viva Warriors (Sankeys Ibiza) there’s clearly no symptoms of Jon and Chris resting on their laurels. With releases already lined up on Wow Recordings, Relief Records, Solid Grooves and a landmark 50th release on Lost Records, fans of their high-octane musical aesthetic have an exciting 2017 to look forward to.
