Since the day Lefty signed Petey Go......anticipation has been building up. The two decided to make a formal introduction, and give the world a glimpse of what's coming from Petey Go. This is only the warm up.

Saying something “came out of left field” has always been an accurate way to describe the unexpected, or even the amazing. This concept has been the ultimate goal of emerging emcee Lefty.

Born and raised in Somerville, New Jersey, Lefty was definitely the anomaly to his neighborhood. Growing up biracial, he embraced a world of duality where he listened to as much Slick Rick as he did Aerosmith. Even his friends spanned the gambit from dealers, to skaters, dropouts to future doctors. Living on separate coasts through his adulthood he would enjoy an EDM party as much as the latest rap battle all the while honing his skills by writing verses to whatever song came on the radio whether rap, rock, R&B, or pop music.

These different influences made Lefty into the artist he is today and can be found on his latest release Reborn. Combining the dance music of the underground scene with the raw hip hop he studied, Reborn has already found instant crossover appeal, while staying true to the heart of his hometown. He dedicates the music on this album to the New Jersey kids he partied with and at the same time spits philosophies that would make some of our greatest lyricists take notice.

With his hands already dabbling in various avenues outside of music such as clothing lines, film, and charitable organizations, Lefty aspires to be the best of both worlds, conquering the music industry, but also placing himself among leaders and kingpins. As he states, “If I can make one person say. ‘Wow, I had no idea’, then I’ve done my job.”
