HAFS (standing for Hate At First Sight) is a project and artist character created by Maël Capilla Sanchez. He grew up playing acoustic jazz and classical music and transitioned into techno DJing starting in 2017.

His sound packed with densely layered drums, intense hard kicks, dark melody, and plenty of groove for dancing. His sets are punishing -  full of energy and intensity.

He has toured extensively and performed at raves across the world. A few notable examples include Dour Festival (Belgium), Monasterio (Moscow), Hard Kapital (Colombia), Club John Doe (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Monarch Parties in Paris (France), Rumba Nightclub (Belgium), and LBAT (France).

HAFS started releasing original music in late 2023, and already has several releases under his belt: Bunker Whistle (Insane Industry), Going Wild (Das Kollektive), Moments of Doubt (Premiere on Obscuur), Rave CrossFit (Premiere on Techno Wereld) then recently his new track "LIFE IS A DRAMA" on Red Moon Label Amsterdam. A collab with the Canadian Three Faces Of Eve (Atroxx Music): "United For Rave" should be released in the next few months.

Together with his father Candido Capilla, Maël also runs a mariachi band bringing together various talented Latin musicians from Belgium and neighboring countries.
