Here's a quick introduction to who Lewis is:

Born in the 80’s and raised on a combination of New Romantic, Synth Pop & Disco, I’ve always had a fascination for electronic music. I was probably 9 years old when I got copies of Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells, Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene and a couple of other instrumental synthesizer albums. This lead on to taking an interest in anything electronic sounding in the charts like Faithless, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Sash. In 1997 Dave Pearce launched his Dance Anthems show on a Sunday evening on Radio 1 and I was hooked. He played a variety of different styles but it was the uplifting, energetic and powerful sounds of Trance that grabbed my attention.

When Trance exploded in 1998 I was still too young to go to the clubs but bought all the compilations I could get my hands on and bought my first, very basic decks. From 2001 onwards I would spend every week at Slinky in Bournemouth, my home town where I was spoilt for choice with the worlds best DJs playing there on a weekly basis. If I wasn’t there then I would have made the trip to one of the other UK super clubs like Godskitchen, Gatecrasher or even as far as Inside Out in Glasgow. My favourite DJs of this time were Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, M.I.K.E. Marco V & Mauro Picotto. 

In April 2019 after spending 15 years playing on CDJs I decided to make use of my vinyl collection again by starting a mix series called Vinyl Destination which, as the name suggests, is a vinyl only format. I enjoy playing music from all across the Trance spectrum from progressive right through to harder, techier tunes and I will even weave Techno into my sets as well. That’s the influence of Marco V & Mauro Picotto.

About this mix: I decided to pick out a selection of slightly darker, deeper tracks. Still lots of classics in their own right from legends of the scene such as Tiesto, Armin, M.I.K.E. Signum, Rank 1, Dumonde, Airwave, Marco V, Oliver Lieb & Vincent De Moor. I would like to say thanks to Michel for inviting me to contribute to Addicted To Trance and I hope anyone that listens to this mix enjoys it.
