I recorded this in Lerwick, Shetland Islands in Scotland. Commercial Street is a very old street which curves around  a short beach, surrounded by old stone buildings. The waves and sounds echo off this rock work, creating an immersive and rich ambience. This street and the gorgeous small beach is featured in the 'Shetland' TV series.

Forest wildlife recorded using a drop rig during a 13 hour overnight recording.

Needwood Forest is an amazing ancient woodland in the heart of the United Kingdom. The forest contains about 490 acres of woodland, and is home to some amazing wildlife. This is a compilation of a few of the sounds captured during this long recording.

Wind, rain and wildlife  captured on a long wet 13 hour overnight recording near Carradale, in the United Kingdom. The low hum of a ship can be heard moored out in the bay. It was a windy and rainy night on the hill. A gorgeous spot - literally miles from anywhere.

Recorded during a walk from the Notting Hill Gate train station to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London on a wet and sad day for the United Kingdom. It would turn out that later this day, Her Majesty the Queen would pass away. 

The Museum is magnificent and houses the world's largest collection of applied arts and design. Lot's of inner city sounds in this uninterrupted walk in the rain. Enjoy the walk in central London.

DIY ‘Legio’ Geophone- Test 1

Take a listen to a 4 minute overnight journey through an Australian forest. This short compilation was taken during a long 18 hour recording session deep in the Australian forest. It starts at about 4pm, and finishes about 10am the next day. The recording starts with bees nearby in the undergrowth, followed by bird life as the light fades into night. The tropical rain starts about 1130pm and continues all night, creating a magical dance on the leaves and stones covering the ground.

The laughing Kookaburra wakes first and announces the first glimmer of light on the horizon just as the rain starts to fade away, followed by many more birds calling and chatting to their mates. 

The bees finally wake up and end the recording very busy... just like they did the previous day. The circle of life in about 4 minutes. Enjoy the immensely gorgeous cacophony of the Australian forest.
