I Got This (featuring MC Steady C)

Swedish producer Audialist is set to drop a jaw dropping EP of deep beatsy tunes on Portuguese label Substruct. Having previously released on esteemed dubstep label Deep Heads, the young producer deftly weaves between the pumping, bump and grind of the LA Beat Scene and with the help of his remix partners, weighty half time and classic 2 step flavours.

The EP kicks off life with two light and breezy, heavily dynamic vocal led harbingers of spring and is ended with two slabs of bassweight, of which we have one to exclusively premiere now, Mercy’s remix of the title track 'Square One'.

The tune is busy in the best of ways, with elements dropping in and out of a perfectly balanced mix at just the right time to power the tune forward without being overtly blatant about anything. Obviously the source elements make the tune, but Mercy’s refix really breathes life into the introspective original, utilising brief moments of silence and pulsing sound masterfully.

Audialist’s ‘Square One EP’ on Substruct is available on vinyl and digital now.
