An hour of meditative music from 1/2 of Phase Group (the other being 12th Isle alumnus Lo Kindre) and the artist presently known best as Mr TC. It's a perfect distraction from the cold that's finally set in here in Glasgow, but likely as appropriate for commutes and contemplation in whatever corner of the world you find yourself in. Long overdue and we're stoked to host it!

Most of this album was recorded around 2017 at the North Sea Institute for the Overmind in The Hague Holland. Early 2022 I finally had some energy to get the artwork, tracks and "mastering" etc. together. 

I went for a bit of a “mid century weird tales Clipper Flying boat LA science Fiction fanclub” vibe with this one as I was reading a lot of that stuff. Synthwise its all over the place... ‘Supernova Cherry Dessert’ is nothing but the Novation Supernova pushing its 12 DSP succulent dripping filter to the max. Also heavy use of the Waldorf Pulse 2 & Blofeld (like on Fluttering into a Pulse storm) There is some JV2080 in there too. “Where the endless minds go” = just one loop on the Roland boutique mini JP08 you can hear the notes cut off sometimes because it can’t cope with too much polyphony and the hands on control gets a bit mucky due do its microscopically sized faders ah well…. “La chaleur sombre d’un S900” which is something like the Dark brooding warmth of the S900 is just that, all sounds sampled into the lower kHz rates of an AKAI S900 for those mesmerizing undusted digital artefacts. The artwork is a painting I made called ‘The golden age of Flying boats’.

In doing so, Patricia demonstrates just how adept Ghostly artists have been at spinning the club sounds of the label’s Michigan birthplace to innovative new ends. Busybody Drexciyan machine-funk, stern techno stomps, broken-beat club numbers and leftfield house jams all feature here, and the mix closes out with a few minutes of dreamstate ambience from Mary Lattimore. Patricia’s own productions are sprinkled throughout - as well as ‘You Open Me (Differences Mix)’ we also get the woozy, weightless electronics of ‘Ctenophora’ and the skittering electro jam ‘Dr. Oetker’s Ristorante’, both of which featured on Patricia’s 2020 Ghostly drop Maxyboy.
