While I sailed the barge with three kids and a hospital job through the last years and the fucked up pandemic around us all it became more and more clear to me that I'm somehow addicted to this crazy business: YOU DANCING around me and in front of me and on top of me! So after more than 25 years of constant experimenting with music this here is my modest attempt to come back to my roots, this is what i love to play! You may know the name of Lumbago for a few different reasons, and that is exactly how they like it. Whether it is down to the French electro label that is already responsible for fifteen releases under the imprint of the same name or the name of the Lyon DJ duo the result is the same. High-quality electronic music. Regulars on the French scene and further afield, their long-running Ninja Tools VA’s releases and full releases have welcomed a huge array of forward-thinking artists to their label and this will only grow and grow.

With this wide-screen view of the electronic landscape Lumbago has drilled right down into the raw modular sound and the result is a weaponised palette that is always primed to destroy the dancefloor. For their entry into our InSessions series, they make good on this promise with a finely curated collection of tracks that positively bristles with angular basslines, acid synth lines and blockbusting drums at every turn.

For DIM325, we hand things over to Inner Lakes. Repping the underground of Northern Italy, the producer and DJ is an expert in crafting spiraling grooves that bend from deep and gritty to euphoric nostalgia, with nothing off-limits in between.

Here he draws together elements of techno, UK house and trance into 1 hour of big-system bangers and hypnotic deep-digs, including special edits from his dubplate collection as well as unreleased forthcoming material.
