"He now releases ‘Back ‘II Basics’, a fresh breath of soulful house / UK inspired EP with the uses of many samples (still fed with recordings) in the veins of this EP which is to be released early February 2024.

In his own words: “This 4 track EP felt like the right time to do things a little twisted again, with here a most extensive use of cuts; just like in the good old days, reminiscent of the EP’s name.”

Each 4 track plays a different role, as Le Hutin keeps on showcasing some various music genre and influences. The first track ‘Mile End’ revered to the bouncing of UK House scene with a heavy Jazzy / broken jazz take. The second track ‘Brian’s Classico’ serves on the Speedy House of things with acoustic instruments roaming wild on solo’s,

The third track ‘Principles’ is another hint at UKG scene and Bass Break music twisting out some Hip Hop music into clubby troubler. The fourth and last track ‘Real Tight’ have a classic House part into a multi-flavor of soulful House (bass-way) and a vocal that might well bring you back to late 90’s.

It’s also time for a little change as Le Hutin has moved out from his former label and collective De La Groove (2017-2023) with the foundation of his new own label ‘Basics Recordings’, for « everything that’s soulful », created hand in hand with Heritage Listed."

French producer and label manager Le Hutin is landing back again on Basics Recording. It is the first track to be released after riding his second album 'Love Is The Answer'. It is also signing a slightly new approach and updated sound, after reaching a hundred official tracks released along with the last album.

Le Hutin - The Reason MASTERⓢ#1

Le Hutin's new album 'Love Is The Answer' is around the corner, set for release on Thursday, June 12th. It follows the series of Le Hutin's long-format releases: 'The Sexophonist' LP (2021), 'DIVE' LP (2022), and 'Expectation?!' Album (2023).

SHORT PITCH:

Made up of 26 tracks, the album showcases at best the wide range of Le Hutin's multiple influences. Not willing to be glued to a purely House Music release, he keeps House - his favorite genre - as the absolute core of the project, around which everything revolves, keeping the sonic exploration alive. As the album unfolds, you will come across 90s, Garage, UK House, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Punk Rock, Disco, Latin, and Moroccan influences.

Le Hutin's music is a mirror of his emotions, life experiences, travels, and personal situations. Late 2023 marked a restart after leaving his first project - the 'De La Groove' label and collective he founded and carried out since 2016 - hence the album's name. He is now standing tall and thriving, bringing music that is true to his soul, real for listeners, and more intimate than ever, with the presence of deeper and more unusual tracks such as an Introduction, Interludes, and Outro. This is enhanced by the fact that he is recording, post-producing, and creating 99% of his music himself, while also using his own vocals more regularly.

The album also features a nice collection of collaborations with artists Maxa, Leah & Bastien Jorelle on some vocals, Tbull on saxophone, and Heritage Listed on a collab.

All tracks are entirely written, composed, played, recorded, and mixed by Le Hutin, except for 'Brian's Classico,' 'Mile End,' and some vocal samples scattered across the album.

This one time is dedicated to our own artists, and comes as a house oriented - yet not focused - refreshing compilation.

1st comes Pedro De Montélimar, half Thirsty Guys and godamn elegant in his solo composition, with a title throwing us as deep as the sounds of the track itself. 2nd is Le Hutin, with an intimate hard lounger of his own topped with some flavory flutes solo additions and smooth sleek vocals. 3rd comes Chinau and Larry G (other half of Thirsty Guys) with a nice discoid, instrumentalized and soulful track that can bring you along the year with good mood. 4th comes Vanderkraft with a solid Electronic track filling your head with joyfull chords and rythmic, a track you can hardly refuse to dance on. 5th, last but not least, local hero Knuckle G delivers - yet another - very solid track, ready to break the dancefloor harder than it already is !

French producer, DJ, and label owner, Le Hutin rose through the ranks of the underground house scene in founding his first label, De La Groove (2017–2023),  later Basics Recording (2024). Drawing inspiration from Soul, Funk, Groove, and Jazzy styles, he crafts a unique blend of UK-influenced, no sample-driven Garage House fed with his own recordings.

Le Hutin is self taught musician since the age of 11. With a keen ear, he learned guitar and piano, drawing influences from Punk Rock, Hip-Hop, and Blues.
 2021, he released his first full-length LP, The Sexophonist which explored a fusion of Jazz and Soulful music with UK House beats, patterns, and sound design. This release quickly earned recognition as "one to watch" from Traxsource, Juno Download, DJ Mag, and Beatport.

Following his debut Dive LP (2022), he released his first album, Expectations ?! in 2023, marking his departure from De La Groove. In 2024, he launched his new label, Basics Recording, with Back II Basics EP, opening the door to a string of upcoming releases, and a second full length 23 tracks album - to be served in June.

A former resident at Djoon, Rex, Cabaret Sauvage, and La Bellevilloise, Le Hutin has played at these iconic venues alongside an impressive roster of DJs, including Grant Nelson, DJ Spen, Jimpster, Mousse T., Atjazz, Coeo, Cody Currie, Black Loops, Fouk, Don Carlos, Stacy Kidd, Crackazat, Mijangos, Mark Di Meo, Felipe Gordon, Tour-Maubourg, Fouk, Angelo Ferreri, Art of Tones and 20+ more.
