I used to feel so in control
I used to feel like I could know
I used to feel like time would move so slowly

I used to tear down every wall
I used to believe I'd see it all
But that was when I was a child

So help me Lord return my mind!
So help me God return my peace!
So help me Lord I break my heart!
So help me God I need your grace..

We used to hear the rivers sing
We used to feel the sky would breathe
We used to think the world was full of wonder

We used to walk through fields of gold
We used to trust the stories of old
We used to think that love would last forever

We used to see the morning light
We used to dream with open eyes
We used to know that we were sons of heaven

We used to follow God above
We used to believe his Word was Good
But that was when we were as a child

So help us Lord return thy mind!
