‘Hold It Close’ is an overview of my journey as a music producer. It touches on the pitfalls, ambitions, and promises that you make to yourself throughout the pursuit of being a musician.

As I began writing with a feeling and an atmosphere, I started thinking, “What am I going through while making this? What do I want to talk about? What do I need to talk about? Who else is affected by the same things?”

This album is my answer to these questions.

i was so honored to be asked by the doodle team to do music for their extremely ambitious doodle, celebrating the life of pioneering game tech developer jerry lawson (aka the man responsible for inventing the exchangeable game cartridge, leading the way for the NES, SNES, megadrive/genesis and so on!)

i approached each in-game track with limitations suitable for the time (so the 8bit track and 16bit track are at least somewhat within range of what would be feasible on equivalent hardware of the time)--while the "edit mode" and "menu" tracks are meant to be "outside" the machine, set in jerry lawson's workshop, an optimistic and happy creative mood!

This is the 'full' version of 'Memory' first heard in Season 1. There are a few new bits and baubles, to signify memories of the past being made clearer, by returning to a long forgotten place.

Sakura Blast - Stage 2

It's been exactly one month since my grandfather has passed away, and it still hurts to have lost the man that inspired everything artisitic I do today. The man who told me to have no excuses, to just do the things I'd enjoy and making sure I kept having fun with it. Now, all I have left is the dorkiest picture of him, with his silly grin and sparkly look in his eyes. But I won't let you down--I'm gonna make you as proud as you could've ever been.

Goodbye grandpa, gonna miss ya for sure.
