HardSpeed Divide [2021]

I've been slowly chipping away at the next HardSpeed album. There's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes with this project which I can't share. For now, what I can share is this track! Imagine a slowly filling lake in the desert, fed by an ice asteroid chained to the planet itself. Now imagine Capel running around there and bonking various things with her staff.

Lakeside [Day]

Theme for Qeshi from the Hardspeed/Capelspace albums. He's Capel's 'brother' (they're both re-constructed clones made from human hosts.)He has a complicated relationship with the past life of his human host (which is also his past, of course.) He can be very stubborn and tends to be the one to stand up for her and their friends, despite being really sweet most the time. He has a bad temper.
Capel calls him the Steel Flower when she's feeling particularly pretentious (read: always) (Art by Renz!)

Skull City

From my upcoming album HardSpeed Divide! This is the theme for Capel's fellow clone, Veia. She's a very very nervous person who possesses an incredible mastery over machinery. Some might even say it's magic. Out of the three Tsu'ghui (Capel, Qeshi, and her,) Veia may have the most darkness locked up inside of her, and it's why she's constantly disheveled and awkward. Capel calls her the Glass Knife, and Qeshi the Steel Flower.

Finally got the night time version of 'Just Look Up' from my last album sorted. Here it is! I really always wanted to try and make Minneapolis Funk! I think this technically qualifies!

Just Look Up - Night

This is the theme for Haze. They're a sharkonian who is an ex mech-pilot hailing from the Earth Federation in Hardspeed's setting. Why they quit to become a junker is a mystery, and they don't talk about their personal life much. Despite being relatively rude and aloof, they do have a very helpful side. On top of that, they're a huge movie nerd and they collect figurines. When they're not working on a car or mech, they're usually slacking off somewhere. Sometimes, they just get really quiet and sad. This theme's meant to reflect all that, but I still need to polish it.
And why yes, those nunchucks ARE made out of wrenches!  Art is by Renz!

Space Debris [WIP]

The only HardSpeed song never to actually feature on any of its albums is getting remade for HardSpeed: Divide which will be out ... when it's done. For now, enjoy this WIP! I'll replace it with the final later.

In-canon, this was the final song released by a pop-star beloved across the galaxy, before she disappeared into thin air seven years ago. Some say she disappeared on purpose, and her last song being about running away was a plea for help. Her record company thought the song was too 'rock' and too 'hard' for her sound, and it wasn't widely released at first.

One of the final tracks off my upcoming album HardSpeed Divide. I'm trying to get the entire thing finished off this month, but you know how that goes... Anyway, enjoy!

Move

Capel's favorite sort of weather is rain. Despite being a licensed medical doctor and very concerned with keeping things sanitary, she tends to go out into the rain and splish splash in every puddle she can find. "Weird hybrid" describes both the song AND Capel!
I leaned heavier into the JRPG aesthetic than the 80s one for this song. I also left in a couple little mistakes to make it feel more Capel-like, considering her entire life is a mistake.

Capel Puddle Splasher

Getting close to album release (finally!) for HardSpeed Divide!
Capel writes a love ballad for her band Vicious Fishes that she formed with her fellow Tsu'ghui Veia and Qeshi. It sounds great, but the lyrics are incomprehensible and have nothing to do with love or anything.
"Tiny angry fishfoxes with tiny angry teeth" was her original title for it. Qeshi politely asks her to rewrite the lyrics, as he's the vocalist. Capel, of course, cries and demands a guitar solo, as she's lead guitarist. Veia, the synthplayer just... sighs...

Ballad of Fish

Fighting Elza is a tricky proposition, and a task not often taken on. Whether she's on the bridge of the Teneritas guiding her crew, in her Exshell, 'Megalode,' or on foot, she has a tendency to completely disappear and she never seems to be quite where you think she is. Feared by some, beloved by many, she's classified as an S-Class level threat in the Earth Federation's jurisdiction.
There has only ever been one other S-Class threat.
Why yes that *is* a reference to an Elancia song. Can you guess which?

Vs Elza

Another song from the HardSpeed universe. Thumbnail as usual is by Proto! Really fun to get back to using 80s sounds again! Missed it.

The NightFighter is a Vulcan-Class Warship claimed by the Rebellion (also known as Harmony Corps.) in the early years of the Silent War. It is manufactured by Genom Frontier enterprises, and houses around 35 Tsu'ghui bio-weapon units. 
You are one of those units. NightFighter is the only home you've ever known.

Sneakery 2

Recovered the original 2015 project file from Planet Aloha and got it more in line with the direction of HardSpeed these days. It was quite fun to dig this up! Should be on the next HardSpeed/Capelspace album!

Technology  [Early AM]

Another track off my next upcoming HardSpeed/Capelspace album. There's a lot going on with that album and the project in general. Can't say much beyond that yet. Imagine this is a 'boss theme' of sorts...
