This song gives me the vibes of a clean energy plant; like one thats very tech based but also not the evil corporation type thing you see in Chemical Plant Zone or the Matrix

Reminds me of going down past Moss Landing power plant at night. Such a cool aesthetic, all the scaffolding and pipelines lit up.

Between writing and working on commissions, I've been chipping away at this slowly. Even though this song won't play until book 2, it's been on my mind while I work on the first one. This song is a bit of a medley, and has bits of Verse's theme, a bit of Transformation, and a bit of the Sea Goddess' Temple theme in it!

 I'm still not 100% sure on how I feel about it, considering the night theme is meant to stretch across three eras of the story, but I've got a while to think about it.

Memory - Night

I'm working my way through the second Elancia Chronicles book and album. I realized that while the Isle of Qaimusu itself had different themes for each of the time periods Verse remembers, the island's temple did not.  I had two themes for it, both of which I'm still quite happy with, so I went ahead and made a third for the final era, when Verse returns as an adult towards the beginning of the second book. I wanted to go for a different mood here. Much more mysterious, dark, and thoughtful. After all, this is the plant that can change an entire planet's ecosystem and it stretches out for miles. Everything from monsters to pirates seems to want to find a way inside -- or worse. Capel doesn't get to enter often, unless the plant is in dangerous. The place scares her.
Made this pretty much entirely with the Korg M1 and Tal-u-no-LX, mostly the former.

Technology [Night]

Back during the original run of Planet Aloha (before I revamped everything in Return, even!) I never got around to making a song for the science/botany department. I didn't for the Military, either, which I've since rectified. Now science finally has its own song 5 years later! anyway, I'd first set out to make Qeshi his own theme for the project, but I accidentally made this instead. It ended up working out well.

Science Department

Time for a little more Elancia music! This nameless port town (referred to simply as Los Marineros by locals) is located entirely in a cave, and is pretty hush-hush. Anyone who's never sailed with pirates likely doesn't know it exists, and those who do, well, they're likely not to tell. 
The closest two countries are the Kerlynzian Empire and Bajandrus, so I mixed the sounds from both with some swingin' piratey sounds!
This place is the closest place Derrik Lancaster, king of the pirates, has to a home. Early in book 3, along with Basil, Cecelia, and Stella, he stops here in preparation to tackle the most dangerous kind of adventure -- one that leads inland.

Longer description: While making a Bomberman 64/Bomberman Hero MSU-1 pack for the Zelda: A Link to the Past Randomizer, a friend and I decided that the B64 Snow level music didn't fit well with Ice Palace. So I made an original track using Bomberman Hero's sounds to throw in instead. This is that track.
