The Monte Verità mix series was created by our longtime friend Axel Willner (aka The Field), and represents an extensive exploration of his vast and rare vinyl collection. Each mix is a psychedelic trip through lost sonic worlds, offering a deeply personal insight into the music that’s inspired his career.

We will be releasing a Monte Verità mix on the first of each month. All roads lead to somewhere...

A cosmic exploration suggests something that may take many forms, but when listening to this mix from Bristol based producer Lurka, we're pretty confident that this is exactly what it sounds like in space (if there were any sound). Lurka's ever intriguing compositions take cosmic textures and tones from techno through to dancehall, putting his own deconstructed spin on things. His latest release saw him return to Black Acre with the deep and architectural Partials/ Mach EP  and now we are super excited to have him in the mix for i-D.
