We are very happy to have a new Phase Group mix to share with you thanks to Jazz from Australia. 

Jazz lives in Naarm where she hosts the weekly Spaces Within Space radio shows every Sunday night at midnight on PBS 106.7 fm. Her radio shows and mixes  showcase an amazing selection and ability to blend varying textures, tempos and soundscapes that comes with a deep knowledge of electronic music. She's an in demand DJ in Naarm regularly playing in clubs around the city whilst working hard to push the local scene and she also recently released her first original music on @phenomenarecords in the form 'Subtype' a brilliant half-tempo, dubbed out, percussive, psychedelic acid/idm track that she produced in collaboration with Georgia bird.

Her mix for us moves through those same psychic, cerebral and echoing spaces, taking in downtempo acid, dark idm, lofi drum machine jams and  slow trance atmospheres.

Satin Doll, Dopamine Rider, Scott Young, Human. Multiple avenues of work coalesce around an artist whose time spent between Hong Kong, Berlin and Bristol has seen techno, dub and house experiments grace a variety of labels worldwide, most recently with ‘Post Peace’ on Italy’s Over Our Heads.

Young’s sound is often accompanied with hints of humour, futurism and digital paranoia amidst fragmented narrative clues of failed hard-drives, late nights and cheap hostels. Piece it all together and the duality of dancefloor convention vs playful, off the grid sound abstractions results in constant battle. One that ebbs and flows with regularity but also with surprise.

Having begun the journey with a tough choice, a one-string guitar or a cracked copy of Ableton. Scott picked up the latter in 2011 ever since. After a slew of demos being sent to Samo DJ, he released his debut EP on Born Free Records. His tunes also appeared on various labels such as Opal Tapes, Discos Capablanca, and guest vocal appearances on Samo DJ's The Trilogy Tapes LKF & CAVEMPT mixtape. Scott’s music has been played by Breach and Steve Barker on BBC Radio. His mixes are also featured on online radio stations, such as NTS, Berlin Community Radio (R.I.P), LYL Radio, Noods Radio.

Hailing from London and currently based in Berlin, the multi-talented artist and community leader has been heavily involved in making Berlin's current club culture more diverse and musically exciting.

Make sure to check out the collective she's part of, called @noshadeeu, and her Cashmere Radio show "Pass the Aux", where she brings UK urban underground music to Berlin’s doorstep, with a heavy focus on grime, hip hop, funky house and garage.

After a little winter break, we are delighted to present the 7th edition of our podcast series! Indulge in this stellar, immaculately mixed powerhouse of a rave set by Lisbon-based producer and DJ @violet.

After many years of dedication in the underground electronic music scene, the multi-talented breakthrough artist had an incredibly strong one in 2019, releasing her beautiful debut album "Bed of Roses" on @darkentriesrecords, touring the world and curating an ever-growing, inspiring catalogue for her own label @naivetrax.
The @minassuspension-resident also graced us with her presence at our summer showcase in Barcelona (with @voltek and @goldenmedusa) and simply blew us away with her impeccable selection and an energetic style of mixing that left no stone unturned.
