We don't know a great deal about Volruptus to be honest.  We believe it to be one man, who is from Reykjavik, although his Facebook page suggests he might reside in Berlin.  For a bit more info into who exactly is behind the Volruptus moniker though, that's where his Facebook page stops being useful, stating simply "He brought the BASS from outer SPACE! 2 YER FACE!!! The Unruly and groovy. The sneaky and freaky. The Alien Boogie commander known as Volruptus is on a mission to make you move!".  

So let's focus on what we do know then.  We know that Volruptus's musical output has been absolutely impeccable, in just a few releases, he's defined a sound which takes influence from British rave culture, Detroit electro and more experimental sounds of the 90s but which is wholly his own.  Through releases on Sweaty Records, which may or may not be his own label, Nina Kraviz's, TRIP and fellow countryman, Bjarki's, bbbbbbb, Volruptus's music has managed to become cult in just two short years.  His records are collectables in the making, mysterious, intricate and futuristic whilst remaining undeniably dance floor.  It's probably no surprise that we see him work alongside Kraviz and Bjarki who seem to embody a similar mystique in what they do.  For his Dimensions mix Volruptus seriously delivers, with an hour of energetic but detailed pure space funk from a real life alien boogie commander.

Hailing from London and currently based in Berlin, the multi-talented artist and community leader has been heavily involved in making Berlin's current club culture more diverse and musically exciting.

Make sure to check out the collective she's part of, called @noshadeeu, and her Cashmere Radio show "Pass the Aux", where she brings UK urban underground music to Berlin’s doorstep, with a heavy focus on grime, hip hop, funky house and garage.

After many years of dedication in the underground electronic music scene, the multi-talented breakthrough artist had an incredibly strong one in 2019, releasing her beautiful debut album "Bed of Roses" on @darkentriesrecords, touring the world and curating an ever-growing, inspiring catalogue for her own label @naivetrax.

We're back with positive vibes and no. 10 of our podcast series, mixed by British-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer @gramrcy. 

In the past, he's had several guest slots on radio stations like NTS and Rinse FM, used to organize parties in Bristol as well as Berlin and since 2019 he co-runs the label @peachdiscs with his long-time friend @shanticeleste.
As a producer and in his DJ sets, Gramrcy's colorful sound is heavily infused with UK-style Bass, House & Techno, finessed with breaks and other classic rave elements. The mix he contributed showcases his range and style perfectly. Listen closely for lots of fresh, unreleased tunage (forthcoming on Peach Discs + other imprints) and enjoy an uplifting, bouncy, energetic party train. The next hour will make you want to DANCE.
