Creating a unique blend of electronic indie pop, Leisure Theory is the project of Irish producer, Jake Smith.

Receiving airplay on BBC Introducing Manchester, BBC Northern Ireland, Amazing Radio and being chosen as a “Fresh Fave” of BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson, Leisure Theory began playing shows across the north of England including notable supports with Porij and Rachel K Collier before returning home to Derry, Ireland for a run of sold-out homecoming shows.

2023 saw a return to the original Leisure Theory mission statement of creating heavier, sequencer-led tracks that fizz with energy and a newfound urgency.
The result – A Joy, A Pleasure, A Privilege, the 4th EP from Leisure Theory was released in May 2023.
