This compilation is in celebration of our Berlin party, Cocktail d’Amore, which we started with Boris five years ago along visual direction by Pindar (GoldNSour). What began as a gay monthly focused on bringing quality music into the alternative culture of Berlin has grown to be host to a diverse range of open minded freaks,queers and more seeking a carefree atmosphere. The music we have compiled is a reflection of the variety of sounds our guests expect from the unique Cocktail experience.

The result is a perfect flow of ambient electronics, house music and strung out Balearic mixes shot through with musicianship and sounds from all across the globe. 

Lovingly compiled by A Man Called Adam - Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones - from a vast and deep back catalogue, Love Forgotten takes pieces from every stage of their band’s journey and fuses them into a truly hypnotic whole. Reworks of classic singles sit next to commissions for the British Museum; collaborations with Idjut Boys, Sensory Productions and Ibizan legend José Padilla melt into gorgeous sunset acoustic sounds. It’s the perfect mixtape for the endless summer that’s playing out in your head.

Hell Yeah llama a su alegre equipo de creadores de groove adulto,  para volver a revisar las pistas clave del aclamado álbum Passages de Quiroga, con Whodamanny, Jazz N Palms, A Vision of Panorama y My Friend Dario, toda una junta de artistas que solo destilan clase allá donde crean un remix.

El álbum original fue calificado como el Mejor Álbum Balear de Piccadilly Records de 2019 y un año después nos sigue brindando consuelo en estos tiempos extraños. El primero en agregar su propio toque es el asociado Whodamanny de Nápoles, cuya versión mágica de 'Martinica Feelings' llegó a la excelente compilación reciente de Buena Onda, que ya está disponible. Es una reinterpretación vocal de gran corazón llena de beats infecciosos y sintetizadores retorcidos que traen el funk junto a efectos de ciencia ficción fulminantes y  unos acordes de piano para derretir la pista en felicidad.

Después le sigue uno de los hombres del momento Jazz N Palms, residente en el local de culto de Ibiza Pikes y habitual en el Ronnie Scotts de Londres. Recientemente ha comenzado su propio sello homónimo y aquí ofrece una loca versión de jazz latino de 'Africa Addio' que rebosa energía y sol. La percusión ocupada te hará mover el culo y todo tiene un ambiente sexy de los 70.

La leyenda balear de San Petersburgo, A Vision of Panorama, es aclamada como la reina del sonido balear moderno gracias a los EP de sellos como Omena. Él se ocupa de 'The Zoist' con melodías sentimentales y ritmos de puesta de sol para morirse. 

Por último, el descubrimiento de Hell Yeah, My Friend Dario (que pronto tendrá un EP en NuNOrthernSoul, recientemente remezclado Calm and Gallo) aborda 'Chiaia Sunset'. El resultado es una pista relajada y catártica que se despliega lentamente con tambores que caen y golpes de madera mientras los sintetizadores dejan estelas de vapor en lo alto del cielo azul.

Estos son otros cuatro remixes de clase alta que mantendrán vivas las vibraciones del verano hasta bien entrado el otoño.

PREMIERE: Quiroga  Martinica Feelings (Whodamanny Reinterpretation) [Hell Yeah]

On his debut EP, Matsoaka (Mats Lundgren) has dug deep for samples. As a former record-dealer who sold 5000+ vinyls to rare-groove-collectors in Japan, he's used to dusty fingers. The transition from collecting to producing came naturally through collaboration within the duo ”Dagfest”, whose output, much like his own productions, is assembled through accumulating and mutating samples from various genres. Together they have created something like a musical equivalent of a Jazz Festival on rollerskates. Alone, he sounds more like a charter trip through the continent armed with a kaleidoscope. His fascination for discovering unheard sounds goes hand in hand with his curiosity for putting them within new soundscapes. For instance, ”Clouds in The Coffee” might sound incoherent at first listen, until discovering the common denominator, the 70ies. So sit back, relax, fasten seatbelts and have your order! Matsoaka will take you on a trip through genres as ”Cosmic Lambada”, ”Kraut-Trance” ,”House-Of-Oldies-House” and "Horror Disco". Captain says, -please try the Dirty Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives! In the near future, expect more barely-believable-genres from Mats.

Leitstrahl were raised on a strict diet of electronic music. Electro pop. Italo Disco. Synth movie scores. This was the bread and butter of this three man Austrian outfit. With more than fifteen years of band history, the trio of Stoff, Paul Raal and Boogaloo Steve share their passion crystallised in addictive hooks, laserdance rhythms and fledgling romance, a passion that combines Hi-NRG intensity with the reflection of wave and the optimism of italo.
