Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Once, a dragon found a large white stone, round and softened by the ocean and wind. As he admired it, it began to shine in his hands. How pretty, he thought, I will make this into a pearl. So day after day, month after month, for many years, the dragon went without eating and sleeping as he made the pearl. He carved the stone with his claws and smoothed it with his scales. He carried it into the clouds, rolled it in fresh raindrops, and bathed it in the Celestial River. He polished it with pale chrysanthemum petals. Finally, it was done — perfectly round and luminously smooth. It was flawless and beautiful. As the dragon looked at it, a tear of exhaustion and joy fell from his eye and landed on the pearl. As the teardrop soaked into the pearl, it began to shine with a dazzling radiance. The dragon smiled with delight. Exhausted, he fell asleep in the light of the pearl. Dafunx invite you to a journey in the land of dragons and precious pearls. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These four tracks can deliver the earth, the sun, the moon and the wide open skies!

A paradox in the DJ booth – reserved in person yet explosive through his sound – Minimal Canibal crafts immersive journeys of cut and delay that keep dancefloors moving all night long.

Drawing inspiration from Berlin's raw energy and London's infectious rhythms, Minimal Canibal's sets and productions traverse the realms of Techno, Electro, Deep House, and Minimal, with a distinctive touch of Afro-House and Indie Dance. His unique style is further enriched by his heritage and a deep appreciation for old Black-African music, adding layers of depth and groove.

As the founder of Stepforward and an active manager and promoter in East London, Minimal Canibal is deeply embedded in the UK's underground music culture, constantly pushing boundaries and sharing his infectious energy.
