After the #1 chart success of “Foundation” earlier this year (his first breaks track in over a decade) Noel Sanger is back with another original progressive breaks tune.
“Falling Upward,” with its floating orchestral strings and cinematic, emotional melodies, also gives some heavy nods to 90s rave: a bouncy electro-inspired beat underpinned by an amen break, FM pads, and a distinctive 303 acid line. The result is a modern sounding slab of dance that pays reverent homage to its early rave scene roots. An “Ambient Pass” is also included which highlights the textures and melodies of the original.

The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas for their first appearance. Needing little introduction and simply known as the maestro, Hernan Cattaneo is one of the world’s most beloved DJs and his Sudbeat Music imprint is widely regarded as one of the best in its field. With a career that spans over three decades, Hernan Cattaneo has recorded eleven albums, thirty singles and fifty remixes, all while touring the world delighting passionate music lovers with his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills.

Meanwhile, Australian artist Jamie Stevens has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his three-decade long career. As one of his country’s most talented and sought-after artists, Jamie has proven his skill in professional sound design, film scores and contemporary electronic music. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Jamie has enjoyed a creative swell in recent years, landing releases via Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream, John Digweed’s Bedrock Records and Guy J’s Lost & Found.

The third member of the trio is American artist, DJ and promoter Anton Tumas. With a career that spans well over a decade, the Los Angeles resident has left an inevitable mark on the underground scene through his Subtract On The Pier residency and burgeoning Subtract Music imprint.

Last year the trio combined their extensive forces and took to reworking Pink Floyd's ‘Breathe (In the Air)’. Released in 1973 as part of the band’s iconic ‘The Darkside of the Moon’ album, the much lauded song remains as one of the group’s most revered and recognized creations. After several live airings by Hernan Cattaneo, perhaps most notably at BNP Open Life, the trio’s take on the iconic song has been shrouded in mystery, with fans hypothesizing who reworked the track in such grand fashion. Now, fifty years to the day after the original release of the song, we are pleased to offer Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas’ rendition as an exclusive free download. Enjoy.

Simon Vuarambon, is a young producer born in Geneva, Switzerland who actually now lives in Argentina. The talented chap has released on Subtract and Flow amongst others, and has seen support from John Digweed, Guy J, Nick Warren and of course Hernan Cattaneo.
This release shows Simons maturity and musical development as we kick off with the deep, hypnotic warm melodic layers of Bahia, interspersed with subtle effective percussion while the drop is dreamlike with a glowing wash of feelings.
Pandora is next, with its understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along, while Simon manages to keep a hold on its energy, subtlety allowing the housey feel good mellow spirit too ooze out as though a liquid flowing over is soundscape.
And to close we find Soulmates, the tougher and techier of the collection, interspersing some roomy glowing love, while some filtered stabs collide beautifully.

The ArtFaq duo from Argentina makes a shiny debut on Stellar Fountain with an emotional piano based song called 'ID'. The spirit of the track is truly the piano, which enclose a very indepth approach of feelings, topped with a french female speech. The remixers also delivering the best possible quality, Alex Vidal and Tuxedo both prove their ability to turn a very good track into their context easily. <br>Alex used is his airy chords and put the main melody and the female voice into an euphoric milieu.<br>Tuxedo played with the baseline added some symphonic injection and deeper approach to the result, pointing on the harmony of a glassy synth and a light, electronic guitar preset.

Subandrio & Nishan Lee make their return to the label with a collaborative 3-track EP titled 'The Basement', perfect for the late summer sessions. Individually, Subandrio's released music on renowned labels like Sudbeat, Replug, Perspectives Digital, Flow Vinyl & his very own 'Lost In Sigiriya' EP on Juicebox Music. His incredible sense of musicality, attention to detail & technique has earned him as one of the most sought after artists in the industry, earning a favourite spot with many tastemakers. The relatively new Nishan Lee has had his music released on Genesis & JustMovement, with forthcoming remixes out soon on 3xA, Yin/Yang & Revelation. Nishan's refined ear for quality as well as soulful-ness which translates into his productions. Their first appearance together was a remix of Tommi Oskari's 'Sri Lanka', aptly representing their home base, on 'Untold Stories Volume II'.

Launching the EP is 'Sustain', founded by a playful bassline on a shuffled groove with sparkling bells floating above and occassionally seeing waves of rhythmically filtered pads making their presence. 'Dynamic Ocean' continues the voyage, taking it a little deeper with a more dreamier & mellow atmosphere, courtesy of soaring synth lines and subtle arps that build up to an ethereal 'lifting' breakdown, only to bring everything back into the deep zone. Closing the EP on a more sinister undertone is 'The Basement', meant for the darker rooms with it's powerfully intense ambience & hypnotic grooves.

A renowned talent with global support from fans and peers alike, Juan Deminicis showcased an array of skills and beautiful melodies with "Life on the Moon". Returning to the EP, new remixes find German, Brazilian and Australian stars firmly in the spotlight.

An artist with a sizeable reputation over a number of years, Christian Wedekind is a name familiar to the underground community with his D-Nox soubriquet. A global DJ phenomenon with performances across his German home from the 1990s onwards and across Brazil, Japan, Mexico and Australia, his work with Beckers saw the duo thrill audiences with mesmerising sets and expertly-crafted sonic voyages. Almost 500 production credits tell their own story across some of the finest imprints that include Suara, Tronic, Bedrock and D-Nox's own, Sprout Music. Supported by a global elite that includes, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Dave Seaman, D-Nox joins forces with the multi-talented Brazilian artist, ZAC, himself a renowned DJ and producer featured on the likes of Sony Music and Universal.

Thus, the D-Nox and ZAC remix creates a strong dance-floor intensity as a fast-paced rhythm entices with rapid-fire percussion and rolling snare fills. Building effortlessly, an identity with the original emerges as the familiar melodic refrains of "Life in the Moon" bounce across a near eight-minute piece in new intriguing cadence. Full of melodic flourish at the mid-point breakdown, the driving rhythm and intelligently worked melodic groove hit the heights once again in the third movement.

The powerhouse pairing of Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle have seen the Australian duo create a magnetic forcefield that has attracted huge support and attention since they first joined forces on the "Superposition" EP for Proton Music in May 2016. Hugely successful in their own rights with original and remix work for both Particles and the flagship imprint, June 2017's "Osmosis" and August 2018's "Interscope" EPs continued to showcase production talent of the highest order. A trio of remixes of Pete K's "Utopia", Andre Sobota's "Unmute" and Rudy's "Time" provided another window on the pair's talent in late 2016, 2017 and 2018 and it is thus a genuine pleasure to welcome them back for a fourth outing on the remix trail.

Supplying yet another moment of magic, GMJ and Matter take "Tao the King" on a sumptuous journey redolent in rolling bass groove and steam-powered white noise effects with their 'Royalty Remix'. A glittering and delayed motif appears at the start of the second movement as a swathe of new counterpoint melodic lines entwine effortlessly with original components. Hitting new heights at a rousing crescendo with pulsating intensity, the track explodes in a glorious rhythmic groove that illustrates precisely why GMJ and Matter are such sought-after producers.

Remixes from D-Nox and Zac and GMJ and Matter have developed a dynamic and vibrant "Life on the Moon".

PREMIERE: Anton Make & Hatewax - The First History Of Man (Original Mix) [Serendeep]

I am an artist now living in Jacksonville Florida and I have been listening to electronic music since the early days of Tangerine Dream. They were the group whose music most shaped my current taste. In 1985 Patrick O'Hearn came out with 'Ancient Dreams' and in 1989 Michael Pluznick came out with 'Where the Rain is Born' The synth work, percussion, and deeply layered atmospheres on those two cd's captivated me for years. Then in 1993 an explosion seemingly occurred-Young American Primitive came out with his work , Future Sound of London came out with Accelerator and Global Communication with their remix of Chapterhouse 'Pentamerous Metamorphosis' and suddenly this wonderful music was everywhere. I love this music. It puts me in a place I would otherwise not be able to visit.It has been a kind of elegant and secret passport to that place where I find inspiration for my art.  This music is for me a wellspring from which I drink daily. It is always exciting to discover a new artist or find a new track. On Soundcloud I can communicate a bit with the artists themselves which is always thrilling. None of my own peers are into what I listen to. If I go to a social gathering-ie. play poker with some friends if they see me pull out a cd that I have burnt they just put up their hands and make crosses as though they are warding off dracula from sucking the life out of them. I need to find a better card game.
So I am most grateful to the Soundcloud people-the artists and the followers and those who comment. It is nice to know others even in an abstract and surreal way-that is where I seem to hang the most comfortably anyways. Nice to almost know you.
As a postscript to this I have now uploaded a great deal of my artwork onto Flickr where my screen name is offshore geometries. Enjoy.
