Sure, “Maybe It’s You” might not be the most elegant break up song around—maybe its words carry a bit of Dutch directness—but there is no question about the truth in those words. When a relationship has come to an end, there is no use in going over things again and again and playing the blame game.

The first line of the lyrics goes straight to the point: “It ain’t what you get, it’s what you’re giving.” It’s all about the impact you make on the world. What do you contribute as a banker? As a consultant, or as an accountant? Even a street musician adds something special, in his own way.
