and we wore it like heart strings
pulling us together
we just couldn't believe how right we were
our eyes blew wide open like hot window into an alleyway
revealing all the things to know in which we'd never known before
between every man woman and drug there was nothing so staggering to know such as this
new information had come into the light


we'd been walking down a highway a thousand miles tall
and a million more wide
nary a sheet of caution was thrown into the wind for fear it may fly back at us 
and cover up our eyes
we never saw ourselves
so we never saw it coming
then we began to dream



and we found ourselves within the multiverse
looking up to and down on ourselves
just a mere shred of what we referred to as "the truth" was enough to make a man throw up his arms and submit
to the ever burning spirit within mankind that either could not or would not give up the ghost
and the willing devils on our shoulders laughed at the angels who hovered on the other side of the veil
over the
eyes of the people who were never given a choice
but to find their own voice throughout what they referred to as the inevitable.
or what they thought to be...


and at the crossroads between heaven and hell
we found ourselves in a town called neutrality
who's heart and soul lay somewhere between realities or whatever
and the shells of our egos lay motionless
on the oceanside of forever
where we left them just as we had intended
